What a sorry group of people. Guy has enough on his plate trying to play football and block every team's best pass rusher. Having to go to this extent because your family is just behaving like a bunch of leeches? Feel sorry for this kid. I also didn't realize how young this kid is. He won't turn 22 until December. Had a very nice year for them last year considering he played it at the age of 20 most of the year.

Do the Cowboys scout their players on the Jerry Springer show?

This kid is talented and trying to do the right thing. Not his fault his family is parasitic.

If that was my family, I wouldn't have a family anymore. Pathetic human beings. His mother wins what she probably thought was the genetic lottery when he was born and now the whole bunch think they're entitled to some of the payout. These people aren't just wrong, or twisted. They're evil.

Please clarify because it seems the implication is since his relatives are unethical parasites, he should also bear the sins of his father.

It's a joke aimed at the Cowboys organization. Both Smith and Dez seem to come from very disfunctional families. Don't read too much into it.

Yeah it sounded like a joke to me. He'll it's hard enough to determine if a player is up to snuff as it is. You have to be Jeff Irelandish to see if family with be detrimental. Must really suck to know that your own blood is out to eff you up.

The problem is that he is a good kid from a good school and up until draft time had praised his family's help in his life. He didn't know his family would do this to him. To get protection is a big deal. This isn't a Dez situation. Just not even close.

Would someone please post the definition of factious, because I think it was lost in this thread.
