Wow I knew Austin was growing but that VY dot has taken over most of the state.

I wonder what the map will be like once the Texans and Titans both start doing well (next year). I think the Texans will have the majority of the state on TV seeing as this is Texas.

Honestly, it is all about the ratings and demand. I am not so sure the Texans will win back the Austin market unless VY falls on his face and the Titans start losing. Almost everyone I know around here is a Titans fan in one form or another now. Sickening indeed but I predicted this before the draft so I accepted it long ago.

That may be true, but it's winning changes everything. I'm sure many of those so called Titans fans in Austin would go back to being Texans fans (or start being Texans) when the Texans start winning consistently.

Or when UT starts winning consistantly. VY wouldn't be half the legend he is if Colt McCoy had taken UT to the big game this year.

The NE/TN game has major playoff implications. The CLE/HOU game is two bad teams fighting for draft position. Kind of a no-brainer if you ask me. I'm surprised the Texans have as much area as they do.

Look at what's going on in Ohio. Years ago, the Browns used to dominate the Bengals in popularity - now it's reversed. These things go in cycles.

I don't think it will happen but it would be funny if in a few years, McCoy takes the 'horns to another NCAA title, then gets drafted by Oakland or someone like that. Then everyone in Austin would be struggling with the decision to wear powder blue or skulls on their shoulders.

What is it supposed to tell us?

It tells me that of the games on the list, ours is the only one without playoff implications. OK, but I already knew that.

Right. The Tennessee game is being shown in West Texas, Austin, and almost all of Louisiana and Arkansas due to "playoff implications". Gotcha -

In week 1, Austin showed the Titans game despite there being no sign that Vince would play. Granted, the Texans game was on Fox that week, though not in LA or AR.

In week 2, we couldn't get on in Louisiana.

In week 3, we played on Fox and got what appears to be Beaumont, Houston, Corpus Christi, Brownsville/Harlingen and nothing else but Virginia/Maryland (played the Redskins) - no Austin, no north Texas, no west Texas, no San Antonio - they all got the hot local matchup of Chicago/Minnesota

In week 4, we couldn't get Arkansas, Oklahoma, Dallas or El Paso.

In our week 5 bye week, the Titans game was shown in Houston and Central and Southern Texas ... despite Kerry Collins still being the Titans QB

All of that disrespect happened before Vince took a snap, so it's hardly news.

We did get all of Texas (and for that matter, half the nation) in Week 6 ... but that was the Dallas game.

The map shows that SA is getting the game, the local guide says we are getting NE/Tenn. I wonder which is right. :brickwall (like I don't know)

Nothing yet on gribblenation for the San Antonio area. I'll check again tomorrow. They usually have a "set" map by the end of the day Friday, which will change automatically on this thread.

I bet you that there will be a lot of Cowboys fans calling Fox 26 in Houston about not getting a Cowboys game.
