Should NFL teams now go for a talented player that wasn't eligible for this spring's draft? Or, should they hold off this summer and save that pick for next year's regular draft? If a team selects a guy in this year's supplemental draft, they do get someone ready to help out immediately. However, if you get the guy, next April, you give up an equivalent selection in the regular NFL Draft. Sometimes, the reward does outweigh the risk. Many times, it doesn't. It's a tricky situation for NFL teams and an even bigger guessing game than the normal draft.
