I just have to think out loud in regards to how many local TN fans might be buying the Oil Derrick merchandise? I believe the current Oilers merchandise sales are coming predominantly from the Houston area and fans scattered around. TN fans wanted nothing to do with the Oilers and Houston fans wanted nothing to do with the TN Oilers/Titans once the Texans Became a reality in Houston.

When the Oilers moved to TN and the NFL approved the move, there should've been a stipulation made that if the Adams Family chose to rename the team.....then the NFL would become the provisional owners of the Oilers logo and colors. The NFL had to know it was only going to be a matter of time before Houston had a new franchise and could've offered the Oilers name to the McNair's as part of the franchise purchase.
