NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans filled an open spot
Monday by hiring former NFL receiver Lake Dawson as their director
    of pro personnel.

Dawson spent the past six seasons with Seattle, the last two as
assistant director of pro personnel, where he worked with
    now-Titans general manager Mike Reinfeldt.

"This will be our first move in an effort to grow our pro
personnel department and Lake is the perfect person to start this
process," Reinfeldt said in a statement. "I have first-hand
knowledge of his ability as a talent evaluator and his growth as a
    front office employee at Seattle."

Dawson replaces Al Smith, whose contract was not extended in

In Seattle, Dawson oversaw the pro personnel department and
tracked team and player movement in the NFL. He also dealt with
advance scouting, scouting all pro leagues and preparing for free
agency during the past two seasons. He was a pro personnel
assistant in his first four years with Seattle.
