I think Carr has shown good progress this year. Throw out that bad three game stretch and the 2 picks today that weren't his fault, and his numbers would being looking really good. One other note is if we'd won the GB/Min games we'd be looking playoffs and a 10-6 finish. Next year he will become a big time star. This guy has what it takes. I may be a littled biased being I'm from Fresno, but he's very good. He'll bring big time excitment to Houston once he gets the talent around him and time to throw and his full confidence. He did it in Fresno (I know Fresno isn't NFL, but) and has shown glimpses of it for Houston. I think he has lots of Favre like qualities. He loves to play, plays hurt, he's tough, can win in the 4th quarter, make all the throws and has the big arm and he can be a fiery leader (would like to see more consistency w/ that). As big a Carr fan as I am he does have his moments of stupidity, but some of that is going away and will continue to go away (favre often makes stupid plays, but makes up for it w/ lots of brilliance), Carr will have lots of big time plays in the coming years. Can't wait for him to have a line and all the weapons on offense. This is just for fun Carr v. Favre yr 3 Carr year 3* 15/15 7-8 (3rd place) 271/442 61.3% 15/14 3,425 84.5 (possibly 2nd) Favre year 3 16/16 9-7 (2nd place) 318/522 60.9% 19/24 3,303 72.2 *Carr been starter for 3 years, Favre didn't play rookie year, but Carr was hurt lots of 2nd year, so third year comparison not completely accurate, but close enough, because you can't compare Carr to a legend yet, just say'n there's similarities.
