Anyone catch his show this morning? Anything worth noting or was it the same old drivel?

One thing that I don't understand is, if everyone is playing so well (when asked about specific players Casserly always says they played well) why do they get emberrassed every week?

It wasn't just softball this morning, it was a nerf ball!

It was so lame, that I changed the channel.

Where is Jim Rome when you need him?

I was just thinking that on the way in this morning. I mean, do we ever take 'our guys' to task? Not that we have to grill Carr, but couldn't someone ask him about his bonus that'll be kicking in? Maybe they have though and I missed it. But as a fan, I'd really like to know about what Carr thinks about his future not his views on how well the Colts are playing. I know how well they're playing...I just look up 3 slots in the standings! :brickwall

Why not say to Casserly, "Charlie, do you feel like you have the pieces in place to win, both coaching and players or are you looking to upgrade one or both area of the players or coaching staff?"

Kinda PC but gets a question in...

The problem is you wouldn't get a straight answer. We're on a need-to-know basis.

In the brief time that I listened this morning I heard a few questions and all of them were avoided. When Casserly was asked about Carr's bonus he said that he doesn't discuss contracts. Someone asked about how the Texans are going to get pressure on Manning this week and his response... we can't tell you because someone from the Colts might be listening. Another person stated that the offseason moves and lack thereof made this team worse and asked if that lies on his shoulders. His response... not all players can stay forever. He said that Pitts played "well" even though his mistakes cost the team points and killed several drives.

It makes you wonder if management has any idea what the problems are much less the solutions.

Charlie's show isn't very good...for one thing he never answers tough questions and for another he says "uh" about every other word. I just bet he's not big on the speaker circuit because he can't make a complete sentence without saying "uh" about 20 times. Annoying.

Actually, I always thought Casserly's word was 'Hey' or 'Lookit'

Fan: "Charlie, how about some info on David's contract?"

CC: "I'll say this ok? Hey! Davihd Caah is a goowood qwahhtuhback in this league, ok? Now, lookit! We can't discuss Daivihd Caah's contract. Ok? Hey! I mean, everyone would love a Davihd Caah! Ok? Hey! I can't discuss contracts...you'll have to ask Davihd Caah! Ok? I mean, Hey he's fine! Next question!"

(Kinda hard to get that accent out on a BBS!!)

His accent doesn't bother me but like I said the way he'll be talking and he'll go "uhhhhhh" and then say a few words..."uhhhhhh"......

You get the picture. It's just annoying. Well let me put it another way. He doesn't have a voice for radio. I don't know if he does it on his TV segment or not but I can't listen to him on 610. He's never, ever going to answer tough questions (at least the times I've heard him on there) and I just don't find him interesting at all. To be honest though the guys on there don't really push him to answer tough questions...they treat him with kid gloves.

I thought Charlie was Hey and Dom was Uh?

Anyway, I listened to most of it. Every week, I keep hoping to hear some actual insight, and all I hear is a bunch of boiler plate platitudes that sound like they are being read by a 5th grade debate class.

Someone asked him why they would cut a player in the preseason who returns a touchdown, and has two TD catches....

And Casserly didnt know who that player was, he didnt think he existed... :brickwall :brickwall :crying:

I heard the show this moring as well. What do you guys expect to hear from CC? And do you really think the flagship station for the team will give them tough questions? Our only hope is that Bob McNair sees through all the BS that CC is spewing.

Who is the host of the show for 610? It sounds like he's a joke of a "journalist".

Lance and John Granato do the morning show and therefore the morning interviewing. Sometimes they bug the heck out of me and sometimes I have a good time listening to them...hit or miss for me on them.

I don't listen to Coach Capers show. I cannot sit thru an hour of that.

Well I would hope he'd say the truth and nothing less. To be honest right now...9 PM...I can't remember a single thing he said this morning. Senior moment maybe but he's just that boring also.

We'll see what Mr. McNair thinks. In his case actions will speak very loudly.
