#Rams want to work out some QBs tomorrow. …. but so do the #Texans. Houston will check out John Skelton & Austin Davis, the latter an ex-Ram

What??

bye matt?

Yates.. Texans won't cut Schaub until mathematically eliminated and even if he's on the sideline.. he's still a asset to Keenum with his knowledge in this system. Yates offers zero value though

Having said this.. given his cap hit next year, Schaub will be gone soon too.

Apparently this Austin Davis dude was the opposing QB to Keenum when UH lost to Southern Miss in the CUSA Championship. I guess Kubes was so impressed with watching Keenum he thought the guy who beat him would be super awesome.

Typical Tuesday workouts. It's probably just "QB week". They go through the positions in some kind of rotation don't they?

It means nothing.

Trade Tate and Yates for draft picks.

Nobody is going to give up picks for Tate. He is a FA next year. Only way that happens is if an extension is ironed out before hand. Which won't happen because Tate's agent won't negotiate anything until FA, where feeding frenzy always drives up prices.

No picks for Yates either. He's a 5th round pick that seems to have the upside of solid backup QB. Nobody will trade for that.

Gary was offended that Keenum threw into the end zone instead of short of the 1st down marker on 3rd down.

"That little sh*t..."

I'd love for them to bring Carr back, hell, let's let Casserly be an advisor like Dan Reeves was. Let's just have fun with losing like we used to.

This :goodpost:

You guys are reading WAY too much into this. They do this every single Tuesday. This allows them to keep a master list of FA prospects in the event of an injury, etc.

Honestly, this is the joy of these threads. A good portion of the board knows this the Texans normal method of operation...to have a position group in on a weekly basis for "try outs." Still any time a tweet or side note gets posted here comes the speculation thread with all sorts of cuts and wild trade ideas.

What week do they try out special teams coaches?

Texans worked out a few QBs today, John Skelton included, to throw to WRs they wanted to look at, but aren't signing any QBs

I really need to quit biting on these cryptic messages the Texans release.

Now the question is: what WR's they look at and why?
