I had an interesting thought (I believe)in a post I made on another thread. What if instead of winning against the Titans, the Texans had been scheduled to play against the Jets the weekend following their butt whipping by New York?

Would it have been a better game? Would our guys have played with more intensity or would they have felt "jinxed?" Would our coaches have planned differently or stuck with original for most part hoping players would execute better? Would New York have played even more confidently knowing they had just whupped up on us the Sunday before? Would their rookie QB have been even better? In basketball it is interesting to watch two teams play each other a few days apart. Even in your own division, I think teams are intentionly scheduled weeks apart.

Wow, I misread this one. I thought there would be tons of comments regarding how Texans would play the following week against the same Jets. Would they suck it up or get trounced again? I'll just allow this thread to go to the cemetary of stupid threads.

They had all off season to get ready for the Jets. You think shortening that down to 6 days would improve the odds?

No and maybe I am presenting incorrectly. I was reviewing the Titans loss to us and it is obvious Texans were able to get "up" against a divisional rival after being ridiculed as being soft. My questions are addressing would a re-match with Jets the Sunday after the beat down have been different. I posted on another thread a sarcastic comment in response to another poster saying the 3-4 defense caught us off guard. My response was same as yours. In the NBA playoffs a team can get beat bad (see Lakers vs Rockets last season) and then rebound a few days later to win against same opponent. I am confused on how to evaluate this Texans team.
