The Texans will play their toughest game of the year tomorrow when they face the Jags...With an impressive 1-9 record, the Jags are the current kings of futility...If the Texans have any hopes of winning DRAFT BOWL 2014, they simply can't afford to win this game...And losing to the Jags is no easy task!

Here's what I'm recommending by position:

    Quarterback:
Case Keenum, being a rookie, is expected to make some mistakes so this should be easy for him...A couple of well timed interceptions and fumbled snaps should be in the cards...Might even consider holding the ball too long and end up tasting the dirt a few times ala David Carr...He needs to throw for a touchdown or two as long as it doesn't put them ahead just to make it look good since he's had a few in these last two games...

    Running Back:
Tate needs to continue to drop the ball like he's known for...He should be able to pull this off with ease and make it look good...Getting tackled in the backfield really helps...Also Tate, if you see the hole, head the other way!

    Receiving:
Andre Johnston needs to suck it up and drop some of those passes...I do recommend catching all passes on 3rd and long that are way short of the down marker...It also wouldn't hurt to run the wrong route a few times as this has the double benefit of breaking the play AND confusing the hell out of Case Keenum...

    Defense:
Stuff 'em on 1st and 2nd, then give up those 15yd+ gifts on 3rd and 10...Corners and safeties need to keep NOT going for the ball and also continue to hope it's overthrown...As hard as it'll be for JJ Watt because of his "heart", he needs to keep those hands down until well after the ball is thrown and slipping a few times might help...Linebackers should continue to overpursue and let the plays get behind them, this always looks good and aggressive...

    Special Teams:
No kickoffs deeper than the 25yrd line...A dropped punt catch or two would be awesome, especially if the Jags recover it on their own 5yrd line...Blocks in the back and holding are welcomed here...Would like a few 25 yard or less punts...Field goal kicker Randy Bullock doesn't need to change a thing as he is perfect for this type of game!

    Coaching:
Gary needs to do more of what he's been doing because it's working so well!..I'd say a few more 4th and short tries that go nowhere instead of those short and easy field goals...Heck, maybe call a couple of those stuffed 4th and short plays on the Jags side of the field!..And how about more 55+ yard field goal tries!...More plays where nobody is open would be nice...How about some of those 10 yard plays on 3rd and 15!...I also highly recommend run-run-pass-punt(rinse and repeat)...

And lastly, just remember Gary, you have to play the Jags again so if things are really looking bad because you are ahead late in the game, you can always put Matt Schaub back in there....

It isn't just a shame. Not even merely a crime. It's a sin. It's a sin that a team in need can do better over a 5-year haul by tanking one season and drafting a top QB to carry them the other 4 yrs. I expect the NFL to correct that sin soon. One solution: Instead of setting it up for parity among teams, determine draft order by lots.

Maybe draft order should be determined by 5 year win loss average. Give teams like Cleveland 2/3 years of high picks and keeps teams like Indy from doing the manning to luck nonsense

Atlanta is not taking a QB, they'll go Clowney....if we finish 2nd to them, teddy b should be ours.

Atlanta would willingly take the short side of a trade in an effort to move back and accumulate picks. They need as many top picks as possible because of how much they gave up in the Julio Jones trade.

I'm afraid that another team will be able to trade up to #1 relatively easy because of how desperate Atlanta is and take Bridgewater.

I can't get excited about Bridgewater. Just can't do it. I don't see anything there that knocks my socks off like Luck or RGIII did.

I hope the Texans are smart enough to wait until their second pick to go QB. Bridgewater is fool's gold.

We have to draft a QB with our first pick simply because of the potential rewards it could reap. Are there any guarantees? Of course not, but the Texans have a chance here to hit it big and they must take the risk. This is supposedly one of the best QB classes in recent memory and the Texans can pick and choose their guy. Drafting an o-linesman or OLB may be more sensible, but this is a QB driven league and the Texans have a chance to make a real difference.

Whoever the QB is next year, he has to have an O-line to protect him. Right now two cats and a hamster could do a better job than our O-line.
