What a bunch of crap, nobody from our OLine and Jonathan Joseph not even
in the running for CB ! The PB is nothing but a popularity contest or people
voting for familar names. Maybe some of the deserving Texans can get some help from the voting by players and coachs ?
On the positive side glad to see that Antonio and Cushing are getting some well deserved recognition.
And fan voting ends very soon - next Tuesday I think so get your votes entered at NFL.COM.

I guess I was wrong when I said zero Texans would make it. Foster must have a good publicist.

    #1 RB Arian Foster
    #5 FB James Casey
    #3 TE Owen Daniels
    #4 DE Antonio Smith
    #4 ILB Brian Cushing
    #4 K Neil Rackers
    ***********************
On the basis of the data, the only person that makes it is Foster. They will probably only take 2 TEs & 2 ILBs so both OD & Cushing fall short unless the players and coachs step up for those guys when they vote.
But the voting for the OLine is a travesty - Jeff Saturday is the leading vote getter in the AFC South at center - that's a joke as Myers and his team are having a great year and Indy is winless ! And JJ not even among the top 4 or 5 corners, what an injustice !
C'mon Texans fans, step it up for our guys here in the last few days of voting.

Pro Bowl for the masses is a joke, I only respect the feedback & voting of their peers.

Foster is in bc of fantasy

More fans means more voters for things like this. Pro owl may only be a popularity contest but a lot of players are rewarded financially bc of it. It's part of why having a good fan base helps attract big names

Foster may be getting more fan recognition THIS YEAR for winning the rushing title last year. It takes fans around the league a while to figure these things out and I figure he gets more credit for it after a season of fans hearing about it than when he was actually doing it. 'Course, he had to continue playing well enough to not look slump-ish, which he did.

    J. Joseph? Fans around the league wouldn't know he exists because he just shuts down his man and they both disappear from the screen. He'll probably get all the credit next year, although he should be #1 right now.

Fan voting only counts 1/3 towards the Pro Bowl though, so I'd still expect Joseph to get in no matter what. Cushing is a toss up because you wonder if players and coaches will hold it against him with his failed drug test in the past.

I really think there's a chance that JJ misses being a PB corner but then makes it along with Revis as this years All-Pro corners ? That would really serve to put the PB selection process in its proper perspective.
I am really a huge Joseph fan because he's a standout cover-guy with superior ball-skills who's also an excellent tackler, a very physical guy who's strong vs the run. And then he's got impressive intangibles to include playing an important veteran leadership role in our secondary this year.
Texans knocked it out of the park with this Free-Agency acquisition this year !

#1 RB Arian Foster - Definitely gets my vote, solid #1 RB in AFC
#5 FB James Casey - Has missed a lot of time, hasn't done much since the New Orleans game
#3 TE Owen Daniels - In the AFC Gronkowski is the clear #1 TE. OD should be fighting for that #2 spot.
#4 DE Antonio Smith - His numbers really aren't pro-bowl worthy this year. JJ Watt is having a better year than him.
#4 ILB Brian Cushing - Definitely deserves votes but likely won't do well nationally due to his 'over-training' fiasco
#4 K Neil Rackers - Sure, why the hell not...

CB Jonathan Joseph certainly deserves votes, can't believe he's not top 5 in the AFC.
OLB Connor Barwin should definitely be in the top 5. He's having an excellent year and making a lot of highlights.

Time to go vote some more...

Regardless of who gets voted in I hope none of our players can attend.

I expect they'll be busy that weekend.

Good point. I'm with you on this.
Pro Bowl should go back to being the final game anyway.

I'm so shocked we are getting shafted on Pro Bowl players...Where is the masterbation smile?

BTW, Super Bowl teams cant send players to PB anyway, so its all moot...

It's not like the NBA All-Star Game where fan voting accounts for
a VERY HIGH percentage of the votes needed to go. In the NFL, players
and coaches decide who goes, whether the fans like it or not.

How are fans supposed to know about Jonathan Joseph when the Texans don't get any coverage from the media? Joseph is just a CB, and unless a CB has some insane amount of picks than fans from the outside typically aren't going to be aware at how great a lot of CB's are. CB is a position that people don't typically watch on play after play especially when the CB isn't even in the screen of play on every play other than when the ball is first snapped.

Joseph is having an amazing season and it sucks that he's not even listed, but I'm not surprised actually. He's a CB on a team that gets about as much coverage as the worst team in the league.

The Probowl would be much better if they took a page from the NHL and had a series of Skills contests. Maybe an accuracy game for QBs, a hands/speed drill for wrs/RBs, a game of 21 for the DBs, and then for everyone's amusement, a 40 yard dash for the coaches!

LOL a team who's probably gonna go 0-16 will have more players voted in than us.

And that's totally fine Ryan. Really. It's just more motivation for the Texans. You get that kind of deference when you're a winner, particularly a long-time winner. They want to get more Texans in the Pro Bowl all they need to do is keep winning.
