Mannings great, but he also still gets special treatment (or atleast benefit of the doubt treatment) by league officials. I mean that receiver was obviously juggling the ball in the EZ.

That was one of the worst calls I've ever seen, considering it was reviewed. After I saw that, I was thinking, "Someone must really want Peyton to break the record tonight!"

Sucks for all the fantasy footballers that poor call affected.

Wasn't a TD but does it really matter? Does anyone think our scrub defense wasn't giving up the record that day?

If the Texans aren't in the super bowl, I don't give a **** about the nfl anyway.

    :)

PS: manning is going to break the record this sunday anyway
PPS: I know he already has the record, but he will score at least another one just to be sure noone complains about his record (at least untill someone else get to 51 or 52 or whatever he'll end up with)

Whatever. Of greater interest is who is our freaking coach next year? Who the **** are we drafting? I don't give a rats ****ing ass about Manning and his goddamn records. He'll be out of the league in a few years anyway. And the sooner the better so everyone will quit worshiping him

I care because the NFL has a system in place to get it right......and they still don't. That's a problem. If you are going to have a system in place to get it right, then get it right. If you use it and still can't get it right then get rid of the damn thing.

    I do.

If they still can't get it right then the integrity of the statistics and subsequent records are all just "ballpark" numbers.

Do you think it would have mattered to Eric Dickerson -- and most every football fanatic -- if someone went back through 2012 and found those extra 9 yards Adrian Peterson needed to break Dickerson's all time rushing record? It matters. They should be able to get these calls right.

By the rules they made the wrong call, but the NFL Marketing Department was fine with the call.

The integrity of the game has been broken over the last decade. The NFL is a business now and not a sport.

I understand the sentiment regarding who cares at this point. To an extent who cares, but when Manning getting a record is more important than getting it right, then why bother playing the game.

Good lord, Wade. Why don't you focus on this week's opponent, the Titans, rather than wasting more time discussing a TD in last week's 37-13 loss? His interview for HC should last five mins...

That should have never happened. We got a gift. Not like it really mattered or anything.

That's what comes to mind also. Of all the Tds wade defense allowed all season long to whine about this one is just petty.

Haha. When we are 2-13 and Peyton has 6 TDs next week and goes on to be the MVP of the Superbowl, he will know that he really didn't set that record against us and we didn't want him and his crummy old Superbowl trophies anyway.

    PS-for the clueless: :sarcasm:
