And they may well still be there in the 6th.Yeah, I know. But there was still some good value players left in the 5th I would have liked.
could be . . . turn our 4 6's plus for 2 higher 6's . . . ilb and nt . . .I smell another trade???
Hopefully. Well, this means we'll have another 5 draftees to argue over! And they may well still be there in the 6th.
If there's ever been a draft to have a bunch of 6th/7th round picks in, this is it.And they may well still be there in the 6th.
Extra picks mean you can gamble on some guys with the hope it'll pay off big. Gotta be able to see the forest through the trees.I thought our roster was getting fairly set and the lower round players would have trouble making the team this year, and we trade down and pick up more of them. I guess we may have one of the best practice squads out there this year.
I agree. If there's ever been a draft to have a bunch of 6th/7th round picks in, this is it.
we could definitely find some that could improve the bottom of our depth chart . . . like ol and db, not to mention a 3rd rb . . .No way 4 6th rounders make this team so I say take chances onthese picks
Matt Scott? This IS the year we pick up a Brady'esque player in the 6th that will play his way into infamy. Hide 'n watch.
You read my mind. I've liked this kid from AZ for a while and everything I've read on him points to him being the kind of clay that Gary can take a couple of years to work with and be a sound starter for years. Can't say noodle arm about this guy. He make all the throws. I just think there's enough there to make an NFL caliber QB knowing up front there's absolutely no pressure to start him right away.Matt Scott?
Big fan of Matt Scott. Have previously mocked him to Htown in the 5th. Would ove to get him in the 6th!You read my mind. Where did D. Rodgers go? I would like to see the Texans take a late round flyer on him. Being picked so late might humble him and he could end up being the steal of the draft.Still a lot of guys available that have at least a shot to make this team.

Would anyone else here take a flyer on him, or just me thinking that way? He's still out there.
There are some good players still out there.
Concussion history scaring teams away perhaps? What happened with Swope? Thought he was a middle round guy.
Still a lot of guys available that have at least a shot to make this team.

I'd be PSYCHED to get him.Would anyone else here take a flyer on him, or just me thinking that way?
We need to channel Rick, errr, I mean Wade.I'd be PSYCHED to get him.
On Da'Rick, I'd want to be in the interview. Must be pretty bad for him to drop this far.Would anyone else here take a flyer on him, or just me thinking that way?
3-4 teams taking players right before us all day . . . still fairly happy with the draft thoughBoyd to GB
This year's Dwight Jones? On Da'Rick, I'd want to be in the interview. Must be pretty bad for him to drop this far.
It's looking that way isn't it?This year's Dwight Jones?
I dunno. Jones just didn't want to play. He quit. This year's Dwight Jones?
If we get him, it's a total and complete steal.Da'rick is a better player than Dwight jones.
Talent wise Da'rick is up there with some ofthe top players in this draft.
And he's a pretty damned good player, too. There's still a safety available whose name is Rambo! LOL
^^^ This.I'd rather have Rogers than Swope. He's 1 hard hit away from being done playing football.
