Is he a TE or an OT now?

Makes sense. I remember he was here a few years ago on our 90 man roster. I think he got cut when we went to 53 and ended up with the Patriots. Several people were impressed with him in the preseason.

Between this news & the potential of re-signing Donnie Jones, the disappointment of losing Quin, Casey, & Barwin is almost an afterthought! Go Rick Go! It makes paying for those season tickets soooo much easier. Lol!:splits:

Well, we really don't have a blocking TE on the roster. If he can fill that hole for minimum, I'd much rather get him now than spend a late pick on one.

I remember liking him when we picked him up as a UDFA a couple years ago. Solid pickup.

If that happens I can take Mike Williams off my draft list.

Makes sense to address cheaper options via free agency so you can draft the more expensive ones via draft. Maybe it's not as sexy or generates the buzz but in this era of salary cap it makes good sense :money:
