Were any of you moved or affected by T.O.'s emotional outpouring, what I mean is did you think it was real or fake, and is what he says legit reasoning?

Personally, I felt as if this was the real TO and suprisingly he's become a team player by backing his QB up (Wonder what took him so long to change his behavior?)

    Are you being facetious?

He said repeatedly in the interview that he has always had his quarterback's back. Is he talking about the one he called gay or the one who he suggested choked at the end of the SB?

It's the TO show. It's all about him. By freaking out over Romessica, he ensured that it would be all TO on ESPN for the next few news cycles. He knows his effect on the media. It is all calculated.

Is it unfair that fans and media might blame Romo's high profile relationship for the loss? Actually, it's probably fair. Romo knew it could be a distraction, Romo knew the media would be all over it, but you know, he had his sexual needs to think about. If you are the QB of an NFL team just signed to a long term contract, you need to act professional, and running off with a singer-actress-media ho in the middle of the playoffs is probably pretty stupid.

Bill Parcells Rule #11 of NFL Quarterbacking--don't be a celebrity QB.

(Unless you are Tom Brady, and you have proven that you are a freaking stud and have won the SB thingy).

I don't buy it. I wondered if you were on the level my self. If you believe what you said I've got some Cowboy playoff tickets for you. When you find out they're bogus, come back, I'll let you have the real Cowboy playoff tickets for free.

I thought it was real. He was one that offered a lot of encouragement to Romo last year after that bad snap horror. So given the events of yesterday, it doesn't surprise me that he would again stand in the gap. It's easy enough to believe the bad without any reservations, so I choose to look for The Good.

Also, given that he brought in a specialist and devoted 16 hours a day in rehab to be ready to do his part for the game, makes me believe that he has a deep love for the sport (job) itself by going the extra mile to be ready to play and support. It was suppose to be next to impossible for him to be ready to play in the Super Bowl, but out performed some of the healthy ones. Steve Mariucci said that Owens showed emotions over happiness and sadness in wins when still in San Francisco. Some think it's funny to see a man cry, yet emotions or lack thereof isn't a true indicator.

I think it can also be true that high achievers can have a great problem with slackers. Another thing, too, with Jerry Jones, if he believes in a players abilities, he will pay fair if not above market value.

i'm glad you included this part, because Brady went off the week before this last game with his ladyfriend. didn't affect him much.

and Peyton Manning spent the entire week studying film of San Diego.

this Jessica Simpson nonsense is one of the most asinine excuses i've heard yet for Romo's play. good LORD.

Puh-leeez! I thought it was real....ly good acting on T.O.'s part.

And let's leave Tom Brady out of this discussion. It's an insult to one of the best QBs in the history of the sport to bring his name into this discussion about a 2nd year choker. Only Manning and Favre can be brought up as current players to compare to Brady. These are HoF players.

Romo needs comparisons to Eli Manning, Rivers, Brees, and the rest of the young QBs that have proven nothing at this point (actually, take that back: Manning, Rivers, Brees have actually won playoff games!).

Romo seems to believe that he doesn't need to do what other QBs do, as in study the game, save his energy (and part of that is refraining from sex), and having a mental focus on the task at hand.

What is really interesting to me, about the Cowboys, is that ESPN has been trying to make it seem like Wade Phillips could get fired. Firing Wade Phillips would be a huge mistake by the Cowboys. Does anyone agree with ESPN on this one? From what I can tell, Wade is a perfect fit for the Cowboys and as much as I hate the Cowboys I know that Jerry Jones is not a stupid owner. He has a pretty good track record when it comes to personell and coaches.

Absolutely.. He should be fired and Dave Campo hired as HC - immediately.

I for one, would rather not have the Phillips name associated with Dallas!!!

    ***********************************

As far as TO.. Give me a break!!!. The last thing he cared about was his 25 million reasons...

He got fired in two other stops because he couldn't win in the playoffs. 0-4 in the playoffs, if I remember, he didn't get along with Elway and for some reason benched Flutie when he was on a winning streak. Rob Johnson started the game against the Tacks and we all know what happened.

The only way Wade gets fired is if Jerry has to do it to keep Garrett from going to another team, make him the new head coach.

    Haven't you heard?

Romo is the only player that has ever taken a vacation during his off week.

Jason Witten's performance wasn't affected in the game. How's that work?

Looks like Garrett is about to be the new HC of either the Ravens or Falcons.

I was genuinely creeped out by the video of TO's interview.

In years past, TO rips Garcia and McNabb (a guy who GOT him to a Super Bowl), but then cries over Romo? Maybe TO shouldn't have called Garcia a homosexual, based on what I perceived as a weird sort of display of affection by TO for a QB (Romo) when TO has basically ripped his previous QBs.

For him to keep repeating "He's my quarterback, man..." and the desperation and despair in his voice...well, it was a little Brokeback to me.

I laughed when I watched it the first time. Now, I cannot even bring myself to watch it a second time. The image and the words are seared into my memory.

I thought it was more a joint effort, but then again after the play in the Super Bowl game, perhaps I should change that opinion.
