Is Brueners Job In Jeapordy?
Daniels and Putzier are looking pretty good.
Bruener's job isn't in jeopardy. He's probably the best blocking TE in the NFL. Putzier and Daniels are similar, Bruener brings leadership and blocking
He got the award last year for spirit of the bull or something. the cochas are big on him
They'll carry at least three tight ends, so it'll have to be Dreesen or Steele who beat him out. But yeah, loving the production from Putz - read from an article someone posted that he lost twenty pounds in the offseason. Sure looks quicker.
If Dreesen makes the team it will be by beating out Pittman as the long snapping "TE."
Yes indeed Breuner is a sure thing for the roster because of his ability as a blocker.
Wasn't aware that Pittman had competition for the long snapper spot. Anybody know if it is standard practice to carry a specialist long snapper as the Texans seem to.
all teams carry a LS....there's a few also listed as a TE
Yeah - LS is too important to mess up - you want a specialist. The ones I've seen play in dual roles tend to only come in in specialized situations (like 3TE sets, or after injuries).
There was some chatter about making Jeff Zgonina the long snapper so we wouldn't have to carry a specialist. I recall TexansChick saying that made her nervous, something along the lines of "why mess with what's working"...
Speaking of Zgonina, where the heck has he been? He was supposed to be this stud NT. I ain't seen it.
Back to topic:
Our TEs are pretty much set. Daniels, Putzier, and Bruener. Dreessen or Steele have a shot to make the 53 as special teamers. Steele made some good hits against the Bears - forced a fumble with one of them.
Separate names with a comma.
