What in the world is going on? I want to know why Palmer is calling run plays in the 4th quarter when the score is tied and Davis is hardly getting anywhere on the ground. You have very talented receivers in Johnson, Gaffney, and Amstrong.

Im sorry, but the offensive play calling in close games for the Texans is ridiculous.

Hats off to the Texans Defense for giving the offense more than enough chances to put this game away. Hats off to the Texans offense for getting that early lead. But shame on the Texans offensive playcallers for choosing lousy plays in a crucial situation.

I think its time for an offensive play caller change. Time for Palmer to move.

hmmm i think its time palmer and capers move off and wait for another expasion team to come around, why do you think he was without a job until the texans hired him ??? We have to much talent to just sit back and watch us play this conservative every week ! I'm tired of it !

I also think its time to look around the league for another running back. I think Davis' first season was great. But now, hes just not getting the job done.

It is Davis. I knew from the first 2 games that he cost the Texans with his 2 fumbles in each game. Now that he is too afraid to fumble, he cant run with the same purpose and dominance. In year one he was running for the position with his main sights on getting yards or td's. Now hes running with his main sights on not fumbling.

    Davis out.
    Palmer out.
    Capers...im thinking about it.

And audibles? It is not Carr choosing those audibles. You will not find one QB in the league who would rather hand off than throw.

    yah.. im aware of that.

the point is, lets see if we change our audibles now.

and also.. if we can only audible to a run, and you know its a bad idea.. then why the heck are you audibling to a run? if its the fourth quarter and we have to pass.. seems it would be smarter to take your chances with the pass play you already called in the huddle, than to audible into a run. its not ALL on Palmer's shoulders.

As long as Capers and Palmer are here and Davis is back #1, the Texans willl always come up short. Looks like they are gonna suck in Madden '06....will I ever get to use them confidently??

    ok.. lets see.

how many times did Davis get hit in the backfield? is that his fault or the lines? could it be that the zone blocking is not yet flawless yet?

im not saying davis is great, but i dont think we need to give up on him yet.

well as i said in another post.. our coaching has improved as our players have. So you have to ask, is it the coaches fault that we seem one dimensional? or is it the young players making us one dimensional?

i cant say for sure.. and neither can you.. so maybe we need to see more before we decide.

The only thing I know for sure is that we HAVE TO FIX OUR AUDIBLES. everyone knew what was going to happen when carr audibled.

Its the coaches fault for having him in the game and for calling run plays when everyone knows we cant run it. You know they are more ways to move the ball and drain the clock then by runnng it. A pass first O is what we have talent for and our coaches wont do it so they should all be canned.

If you cant run the ball dont!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG how hard is that to understand

if you cant fly dont jump off a building.

Hell a child understands this so our coaches should be fired keeping them to me means our owner is blind and is ok watching people jumping off a building to there death.

The #1 problem is that the team plays "not-to-lose" instead of playing to "win the game" as Jets coach Edwards would say.

Playing not to lose gives the same results as the prevent defense--a loss.

Oh yeah, and what's with all the reverse plays?

well,to me the key of the game was a 3rd and 15 and they got it.. It led to there only TD of the night. Our 3rd down defense is pitiful.

holding brett farve to only 16 points is pretty good day for any defense and picking him of 2 times is not to bad,,,the defense gave the offense/offensive cordinators plenty of opportunites to win this game ! The D did fine (its brett farve for crying out loud, what do you expect)

Can you imagine what the outcome of this game wouldve been if the same plays were called as in the first half? If your gonna handoff the ball in the 4th quarter in a tie ball game against the freakin PACKERS, why not put in Tony Banks? Obviously you dont trust the 1st draft pick with a hell of an arm and who your paying millions to get the ball into a receiver to keep the drive alive.

It seems to me that Palmers idea is to get into 3rd and less than 6 situations, then dump off the ball on a pass. IT's NOT WORKING PALMER.

Why are you jumping on Palmer's case when it was Carr checking down to a running play? You'd make a lot more sense if you came out and said FIRE CARR NOW, but you're not. Why are you not even mentioning Carr? He's the one who is really calling the plays.
