...on a milk carton? Or release an Amber alert?

I suppose on the bright side we won't have to break the bank to resign him at the end of the year if he keeps this up but I'd rather see some production anyways.

Unlike Buffalo fans with Mario I actually saw JJ Watt being double and triple teamed last night and somehow that doesn't free up anyone else?

Exactly. Where are the other guys sacking the QB?

Sure it does, guys just aren't winning their battles. Barwin looks slower than he's ever been...& i've always thought he wasn't all that fast to begin with. & Both he and Reed are running themselves out of plays, which opens up gaping holes for Qb's to escape out of the pocket....basically, they're doing the same things that many complained mario was doing.

At the rate he's going, i would just let him walk and draft OLB depth behind Mercilus.

I think Barwin got too big. He does not have the explosion and hip flexibility that made him a threat off the edge.

Barwin fit Wade's D perfectly last year because of his unique athleticism. He could rush the passer, he could drop back in coverage. No other OLB on the roster can do what Barwin did. Not Reed, Braman, Mercilus, no one. Barwin sacrificed his athleticism to get stronger, and it has hurt the D.

All I know is that when Mario played last year, Smith was a one man wrecking crew inside. Since Mario went down, he is JAG. Barwin isn't doing diddly and all I hear are excuses from the staff. Reed flashes at times, but doesn't look as good as his rookie year...and if we have a NG maybe his name could be mentioned once during a broadcast or it's quite possible an MIA could go up there too.

Outside of Superman, the only thing I see upfront is a bunch of Lois Lane's.

They need to put Barwin on Arian's vegan diet and put some of those pork chops, beef steaks, and spare ribs in Barwins diet on Arians plate.

Barwin may have become a 3-4 RDE? Try kicking him inside before kicking him to the curve. It is the coaches job to put players in a position to succeed, at least that's what I heard from Kubiak after the Packer game :kubepalm:

Maybe Barwin could try an inside move every now and then to mix it up. It's taking him too long to get to the QB wih the deep outside rush. Also, he got hose on that penalty during GBs FG attempt. He jumped over the line on his own. Unless I missed another camera angle, it looked clean to me.

Yeah, it looked like he was trying to replicate a pre-game video of JJ Watt jumping 52" up on a table, just doesn't work in a game because the Green Bay lineman stumbled underneath so when he came down looked like he was on his back :gun:

Barwin was standing on someone's back. That penalty is pretty clear cut. I'd say he owes us four points on top of his mounting sack/QB pressure debt because of that but God knows he wasn't the only one out there playing like a High School freshman.

If you even take into consideration your scenario, in order to understand the call, it's important to understand the entire extent of the rule. This is something that I didn't know until a couple of years ago I was watching a game with the same call in the same situation, and looked it up.

A penalty occurs if a defender takes a running start from beyond the line of scrimmage in an attempt to block a field goal or point after touchdown and lands on players at the line of scrimmage. A player can jump straight up but he can't go over the line of scrimmage when trying to block a kick. He can run around or through the line to block a kick but not up and forward.

Sean Cody beat him in a 100m free-style race.

On one of Clay Matthews' pressures, it appeared he had set Brown up on that outside move. At the snap, Brown took a big step to his left & Matthews broke inside & got all in Matt's face.

Brooks Reed would have had a couple of sacks had the Packers not held his ass the entire game.

No excuse for the flat play, the Texans could have lost that game with 14 men on the field, but the holding was unreal..........

Haha, I was channeling that part of the movie. No joke.

That is why I was using the past tense. He was explosive. Not so much this season.
