Of course they did. If we'd kept Wand he'd be the best (healthy) tackle on the team right now but no big deal. We locked up the multitalented Salaam for three years today. That was a real difference maker.
Depth is a thing of beauty...
Yeah it is. Watching the Texans suffer from a lack of it while they bounce through the years sending perfectly good players packing isn't though.
Texans kept Brad Bedell and released Seth Wand last year.
Bedell played for Sherman in GB. Hope that was not the only reason things worked out this way ?
Wand is a re-sign for us, we had him last season.
You guys probably could use him more tho considering he was sitting on the pine for us.
The Texans don't want starting left tackles unless they are turnsties or injured. Nor did he ever go to Denver. So he doesn't fit the bill. Now, if he couldn't block, had a few knee injuries, or played for Shanahan, that would be different.
Good luck, Seth. I know you are probably getting a better deal there than you would get here.
Texans will get another dose of their own medicine from the Titans.
I still believe he played better than Spencer in the pre-season
Bedell is from Colorado... one of our reserves from that great state. Home of John Benton ( OL Coach ). I think we carried 6 or 7 players from Colorado or Colorado State ( NFL high ).
Of course the Titans re-signed Wand. They proved last year that they are better evaluators of talent than the Texans are.
