Virginia v. NC State from 2003...

Very weird seeing Mario rushing Schaub...

ESPN Classic has been doing a "future quarterback stars" theme all day

This ones a shootout Schaub and Rivers are going at it!

You are missing one heck of a game. There's no way someone should be at work while this is on. Mario is showing why he was the #1 pick and Schaub is displaying some of the same accuracy and ability to lead his offense down field. OMG!!!

J/K. Try to have a good day at work man, you aren't missing anything.

Schaub had more zip on his ball back in his Virginia days.... not that he doesn't have enough zip now

This was Mario's sophomore year he was hardly the prospect he became at this point in 2003.. he looks about 6'6" 250-260ish and doesn't have the swim/rush moves he has now... very interesting seeing him at this raw point... he hasn't been mentioned all game either lol

    Great game. Lousy finish.

Schaub was magnificent until his last throw. We Hoos still debate not going for it on 4th and three with about 2:30 to go and the game tied at 37. What Matt was able to do at UVA with a balky running game, no WRs and a puny OL was amazing.

And, yeah, Rivers was pretty darned good, too. And don't be shocked if another ACC guy from that era--Charlie Whitehurst--becomes a good QB in Seattle.

Actually this was Mario's freshmen year. He declared for the draft after his junior season. 2 months into college and he looked good!

My one and only complaint with DirecTv is that I don't get ESPN Classic anymore. :voodoo:

Also Don't forget the great Wali Lundy as the rb for the cavaliers. It was pretty cool to see three future texans playing in college.

I don't want to start a whole new thread for this since this thread seems appropriate enough.

At 5pm today on ESPN Classic they're showing the 2002 Rose Bowl starring our very own Andre Johnson.

Definitely a must watch for any Texans fan.

Starting lineup for the Canes reads like an elite NFL roster.
    Shockey
    Portis
    McGahee
    AJ
    mckinnie
    Ed Reed
    vilma
    dj Williams
buchanon (ok, maybe not that elite)
    mcdougle
