Somehow I missed this on Monday but Mike Triplett of the Times-Picayune is reporting that the New Orleans Saints will come to town for a few days of joint practice in advance of their August 22 preseason game with the Texans.

At any rate, it will be fun to have the Saints in town. They're the best NFC team within a 6 hour drive of Houston and as a fan, it's always fun to see another team up close and personal in a setting that's far different than Sunday noon.

The Examiners AJ is on top of the story again with this scoop about NOLAs
visit to Houston several days before their preseason game with the Texans
for some joint practices, which very possible would include some intersquad scrimmages. The best Texans practice I ever saw was when the Broncos were
here several years ago for a similar week of training when the Broncos kicked the Texans tail badly. This matchup should be a lot more even.
BTW, the second paragraph up there includes a little dig by AJ for our local
    Cowboy fans.

    Burn on the Cowboys

Cool to see the Saints returning the favor. I think it was Kubiak who said something to the effect of: the guys are tired of hitting each other and want to hit somebody else now...

    ....anybody wanna hit Reggie?

Saints players already know what to do with joints, they don't need no stinking practice. :shades:

Yeah, probably a coma, but I bet you would get a free autograph out of it!

I like the idea of us going head-to-head with Brees & Co. What I want to see is how are DBs do against there passing attack, wonder if Reeves will get burned like my morning toast?
