I know we started a lot of rookies this season (5 total), but three so far have been nominated for Rookie of the week: DeMeco, Williams and Lundy. I can't recall another "class" that had so many nominations. We are in week 7 of the NFL season and our rookies ARE learning, developing and improving. I believe we will see DeMeco for Rookie of the week again, and Owen Daniels should get recongnition as well.

Man, if Spencer wasn't hurt early this season, I'd bet that his name would come up more than once.

Way to go!!! I hope these five guy do well in the next couple of games (four really- Spencer out). I look forward to seeing them on our team for a long time. :redtowel:

I thought this was our best draft as a new franchise so it only makes sense that our rookies are making an impact

I know its hard to think about but just imagine how our franchise would look if we had an actual front office and managment team to find these type of rookies with our first 28 picks as a franchise.
The old FO did a fair job with our first rounders but other than that and the DD pick they selected more players who would go onto win Dairy Queen employees of the month awards than NFL rookie of the week awards.
Casserly better fear the day he runs into me in a dark alley..........:hunter:

Yeah they started packing it in when Casserly was fired. I guess they figured ther would be nobody around to find talent for them now that we are drafting football players.

Most of the draft enthusiasts here on the board were VERY happy with our draft class right out of the gate. We got two Top 15 talents (Mario and DeMeco), a borderline first rounder (Winston) and a second rounder (Spencer). Daniels and Lundy were both good pickups at decent spots in the draft, if a bit surprising.

They sure impressed me ... and I really would have preferred a different #1 overall, so I don't think I was a pushover :)
