At least that's what it says on the sports ticker on ESPN, but I don't see any internet articles about it.

He QUIT the NFL and now he wants to come back? Pathetic, he should've never retired in the first place, and if he did, don't do it a couple weeks before the season, say this at least at training camp you loser.... :thumbdown

why? Because he smokes pot? He hasn't done anything wrong. Until he is BUSTED with the cheeba, it is not against the law to have bud in your urine, just in your possession. Sorry you had him in your "getting the leauge back together" rotisserie leauge, but your statement is just stupid. If he wants to play this year, he will have to serve his suspension first.

Smoking pot is wrong. I wasn't really being serious, though, and I've never cared anything about fantasy football or whatever you're talking about here. He's breaking the law when he smokes it, not that I really care, and I just think he's a spoiled ***** who needs to learn some lessons. You've got to really have some nerve to ask back in so soon after retiring so young because you obviously didn't want to fail another drug test. It bothers me that some of these athletes are so incredibly spoiled and conceited. I'd like to see him forced to serve his suspension, which I agree will happen, and then refused by every NFL team for years on the grounds that he is an incopetent jerk and can't be trusted to stay on the team and play consistently well.

As far as Miami's record is concerned, I just wish they were in our division so we could stomp on them a few times this year.

Officially he "retired", but what he really did was quit because he didn't like his employer giving drug tests, which he had already failed. Now, so soon, he wants to go back and keep his MILLIONS. Wouldn't you like to get paid millions and have a boss that let's you quit and come back any time you feel like it? These guys are so incredibly lucky that we care about sports and watch them so they can make ALL that money and fame--the least they can do is act like upstanding Americans instead of thugs, drug addicts, and bums who just want to GET PAID and retire with their fortune before an old high school classmate, per say, can even graduate from med school.

Where would all these athletes be if everybody suddenly decided that sports are just stupid kids games and we don't have time to watch them? After all, it's always the same thing: size, speed, throwing ability, jumping. That's it. It's all genetic. Why should the average 165 lb. white guy root for all those 250 lb. athletes, when he knows he could do it too, if he just weighed 250 lbs.? The same goes for 7 foot centers. It's a good thing there are some overpaid athletes who know how lucky they really are and act like it. I'd say the Texans have got an unusually high number of those who actually act right.

The most interesting thing about marijuana is that smoking it makes you stupid enough to think that it doesn't have any negative effects.

he wants to come back because the dolphins won their suit and now he owes them about $8.6 million...i think we'll be seeing him in either a raider or cowboy uni soon...but whichever team trades for him better realize what they are getting...a nut case and a waste of talent

The Raiders or the Cowboys would be the only ones willing to take the risk on this goof. Although I think he'd take a troubled player I don't think Parcells would accept a player that seems to be spineless and wimpy. The Raiders would be the more likely choice. Ricky, you're a wuss. "I going to seek the TRUTH". Owing 8.4 mil speeds up the proccess dont it?

Just put a bunch of clauses in it about leaving without notice. Or performace based pay. Make him earn it with sweat. Not his name.

When he entered the NFL, he said that he had earned all that money with his ferformance in college. I guess so, because he's been a selfish jack-off in the NFL.

lemme guess, if Ricky liked to drink a fifth of Evan Williams before a game then it would be alright with you then.

Dallas definetly wouldnt want anything to do with Williams. Think about it, Parcells cut Carter after 2 times failing the drug test. Parcells could of made Carter a second string but that's not Parcell's style, he cut him because Carter didnt keep his word and continued to do a horrible think to his body. Now why would Parcells want Willliams? It's out of the question

You're living in lala land. Parcells didn't like Carter from day one. He had no better alternative in year one. Then he had a present and future better alternative and cut him. Not capping on the Cowboys here--IMO 20 teams will be interested in Williams when he can come back. They will structure an incredibly unique, show me the performance contract, but his market is plenty big. Fact is he would be a great Capers type back. Not saying the Texans would or should pursue him, but he would fit and plenty of teams will including the Cowboys at this point.

Parcells had LT in New York when LT was doing coke. Dallas would take Williams in a heart beat if they got him cheap and could keep him clean during the season. How Williams would be received in the locker room after walking away like he did is a whole different story.

Parcells and JJ could of and should of SIGNED another QB in the 03' off season but they didnt. Though Carter's overall performance of the 03' season was low, he did make a few spectauclar plays that contributed, maybe Parcells saw his potent in the off season and named him the starter. What sources told you "Parcells didn't like Carter from day one"
How is it Dallas is able to sign 2 decent quarterbacks this off season than the 03' off season? Because BP thought Carter had what it takes. The bottom line is Parcells didnt like his performance in the 03' season, not because BP hasnt liked Carter since "day one"

About cutting Q.C, it was simply unessacary. He could have easily fit in as a backup like he does to Pennigton. I thought cutting Carter was extremely stupid move by Parcells, I'd much rather have Carter as a reliable backup knowing the system and all than the current second stringer Tony Romo

It was reported last year shortly after Parcell's arrival by folks such as ESPN, etc. Dallas traded for 1 QB and the other became available for signing. Remind me of the QB's available last year that Parcells could have signed?
