FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP)-Darrelle Revis(notes) shut down Andre Johnson(notes) before, holding the Houston Texans wide receiver to four catches in last year’s season opener.

The New York Jets cornerback will try to do it again Sunday when the two stars match up at the New Meadowlands Stadium in a meeting both are looking forward to.

To Revis it’s like “Jordan and Bird, or Jordan and Magic” in that it’s the “best of the best.” Revis is healthy after struggling early with a tweaked hamstring, and Johnson recognizes him as “the best at what he does.”

Jets coach Rex Ryan jokingly told Texans reporters that Revis might not play man-to-man coverage on Johnson the whole game, but now says everyone knows “where he’s going to be.” And, that’s following Johnson all over the field.

Does anyone really expect anything different? AJ won't be open, Schaub won't have a single second of time to scan for other options (that won't be open), every OL will get blown up in epic fashion, Foster will still somehow come up with 100 yards of offense...

....and Kareem Jackson will fall down...

Revis didn't shut down anything last time. Their blitzing shut down our offense. There's a difference.

No Kris Jenkins makes Myers a happy center.

Most wouldn't know it from the hype, but Revis has taken a nose dive in stats this year. He, like AJ, has been battling injury (hamstring). This battle of the crips will bring at least one factor of unpredictability to the game.

I agree with this. If Schaub has time to throw, Revis will not look near as good.
