Yes, my wife who's a Cowboys fan, was sitting next to me having a coronary watching this go down as it did.

I don't think i've ever taken so much joy in her agony like i did that night since.

My wife is a Cowboys fan too. I didn't know her then, but I wish I could have seen the look on her face.

That was truly a magical moment. I got chills and my eyes got moist seeing it again. That game is forever etched in my memory as one of the great ones in the history of this franchise.

*ahhhh, the good 'ol days*........ j/k My dad recorded the game for me and while not as good as that actual night, its still gives me chills. I still play it every once in awhile for a charge... I think I may break it out this week...

Ahhh, I remember it well. Considering I was edged and in Las Vegas ESPNZone at the time, that is saying a lot. That was an AWESOME game. And 2 of my buddies at the table were/are from Dallas.

File this under the surreal -- while watching the game, there was a big fight at the table next to us, on the other side of the glass. It was like having glass seats at a hockey game. Blood flew. I don't know if it was from broken glass, or something more sinister like a knife. I was amazed at how fast security came out of the woodwork. After all, the casino was 10 paces away.

    all the best,
    rick

"Oh look at the blocking from the offensive line. He has no one around him."

    Was that it? :gun:

Not only that. Carr planted his back foot and actually delivered the ball.

Man What happened to that kid?

I like the statement there at the end, "The Texans drive the length of the field on the strength of David Carr's arm".

    Thanks for the memory.

I actually shouted "YES!" when the touchdown came! Talk about getting caught up in the excitement...just like that very special night that no true Texan will ever forget!

Here's to a new season, and a new era of hope in Houston! :texflag:

I'll never forget that night. Couldn't talk for 3 days afterward. The roar of that crowd gives me chills --- I can't wait for it to be like that again. And it will.

Damm near broke my leg on the Bradford TD that came later - luckily the guy in front of me broke my fall ... we were all in the aisles... we could see that play open up from the snap ... it came right at us in the SW red zone....

Now I'm going to have to watch the entire game again.

Mike Patrick and Al Michaels are two of my favorite play by play guys of all time.

No problem! It is great to refuel the fire before we start a new season. With all of the problems behind us, we need to remember that with a new season and some better players, there comes a brand new shot at greatness!
