If RG III's situation hasn't presented the Skins with enough headaches, Kirk Cousins has evidently sustained a mid-foot strain.........usually at least a multi-week injury. Depending on severity, could extend for months (and that is if it does not ultimately require surgery), especially if it becomes reclassified as a significant Lisfranc (which is a midfoot sprain) somewhere down the line (~20% of initial x-rays do not demonstrate the Lisfanc injury).

QBs still don't always slide when they should. Puts a little bit of a cloud over the idea of trading a #1 for Cousins.

The way some people on our board are raving about Keenum, what are the chances we can trade him for an injured Cousins? :kitten:

Being completely serious, however... I'd love to have Cousins on this team. I see potential starter material in him.

There was discussion here about this same subject early in the preseason.........The Skins would never consider it with RG III coming off his injury.

BTW, it's funny that they are now reporting that his mid foot sprain demonstrated a "negative MRI." Well, even a grade I sprain would show a positive MRI in the form of ligament damage according to the extent of injury. I guess they meant no major (grade II or III) sprain was detected.

I dunno..... I think we can get Cousins & Redskins' 2014 1st round pick for Case.
