Actually it's a 4th which can and probably will become a 3rd for a 3rd.
Nice contract tho
Not entirely on board with this line of thought even though I dont dislike picking up Johnson. If you look at that draft specifically, and realize that the decision makers for the Browns that were responsible for this draft class are no longer there, then I would worry about a team who designated two DTs as their round 1 & 2 selections and then bypassed David Johnson for Duke Johnson and assume its a fair trade off. Next years 3rd round pick could be a vastly superior player than Duke Johnson?
Hopefully they maximize Johnsons talent level and modify the attack to fit him instead of just asking to run full speed into a wall 10 times a game.
The REAL question is... Do you move on from Lamar Miller now after this season, sign him for two years
Or draft a new RB come next draft and if so then what type
Personally, i'd like to go all power...
Next year's 3rd round pick isn't going to help us now. We got a #2 RB for it... now.
Season is about to start. I'm much happier with Duke Johnson suiting up in Steel Blue than thinking about what we could get for a compensatory 3rd.
Not sure what you mean?
We get a 3rd round comp pick for Honey Badger. May get another 3rd for Kareem depending how the Roby signing offsets.
Now we got
btw is Duke related to Lonnie? Jk
Duke is a little guy whose blocks are okay but
I still think we should've went and got Jay Ajayi on account of him being
six foot compared to Duke's 5'10 height
While Duke has a nice contract, I think Jay Ajayi would have been better
for Deshaun Watson... Not disputing the contract vs talent... Duke is a nice
player although, I'd still like Jay Ajayi to be there for Calais Campbell to run
into instead of Duke or Miller...
BTW... When is Duke Johnson Jr going to play a down?
Edited for accuracy.
Pretty much everyone is saying his hamstring injury is going to be a medical miracle in how fast it heals now that he's been traded. Also in his entire NFL career he's only missed 2 games, that's great for any player but for a RB that's amazing.
Not questioning his durability, but I did hear or read his position coach (I think) say it was a legit injury and that he's too much of a professional to fake or exaggerate an injury to miss practice.
So when is Duke going to play a down?
Separate names with a comma.
