Anyone concerned or will Turk be back? or someone else? Any UDFAs of interest or regular FAs for that matter?

I'm pretty sure they've gotta run some legs through camp. Any one of those kids should be able to boot it more than 15-20 yds consistently. :spin:

I would imagine that Henry kid outta Florida's phone will be ringing. It probably already has.

Kinda, I guess. I know he put several punts downfield but I saw the dinks way too often. I think the position can be upgraded.

We can deff find a better punter then Turk and one that might actually run down the field and tackle 2

Turk is known for tackling, but you seriously want your punter, probably the only one on the roster to run down field and tackle? :panic:

Maybe that Aggie we brought in last year or two years ago is finally ready.

I'd be shocked if we didn't bring in legitimate competition for Turk with the intention of upgrading.

I like Turk and hope he has a great year for us. If not, why not try James Casey out there too? He's our backup everything! :thisbig:

Chas Henry went undrafted and he was on many draft boards as #1 with a 47.3 yd ave in 2010. He also can kick if ever ours is injured. He had a field goal winning kick in the Florida/Georgia game when Florida's kicker was out injured.

Simply impossible as Casey will be our starting fullback, TE, kicker and I heard AJ better watch out.

Would have been a nice Mr. Irrelevant pick.

Turk is no longer under contract, but I expect him to get a vet min deal for at least camp/preseason. I really hope they bring in some new legs at punter though, we need to get a punter for the future in free agency.

I didn't look at stats and don't care how good they might say he was...he was not good at all. Way too many shanks and dinkers when we needed distance.

IMO, we need a punter badly. However, due to the lack of off-season, he's probably going to get the nod.

On the other hand, it is probably easier to evaluate a punter's ability in a short time as to do so with other positions.

That's true, I thought that after I hit the submit button. I sure hope we bring in some good competition with or without Turk.

*edit* You know it's been a horrible off-season when HOU-TEX joins in a discussion about kickers. Kickers? Really?!

An April impressive article about Henry........would seem like an excellent acquisition if we pursue early........and punters don't typically go for big bucks.

    Per Rotoworld:

My guess is either UDFA Chas Henry or Justin Brantly who is currently on the UFL's Omaha Nighthawks. Like previously mentioned, Brantly was fighting for Turk's job a couple seasons ago. (Plus he's an Aggie)

Derek Epperson- Baylor, also went undrafted and would make a great UDFA signing. He's got a good leg and LB size.

Well the stars certainly seem aligned for us to go after this Henry guy.
