British family mad about American football coming to the Southern states on holiday and wanting to get some tickets to the preseason Texans vs Jets match on the 15th August at Reliant stadium - please can someone advise us as to how we go about getting tickets when we are there - we can't have them mailed to us in the UK as they aren't due for sending until 8th August and we leave on the 9th! WIll the stadium be full or will we have a chance of getting some tickets on the day? and if so can we get them from the stadium or do we need to find a broker in Houston? Any advice much appreciated - chance of a lifetime to watch a real game and we don't want to miss out.

Call the ticket office. You should be able to pay for them now and pick them up at the will call booth at the stadium.

    The stadium won't be full.

First off my British friend, Football does not have "a match".... That's for tennis and soccer... Second, there'll be plenty of tickets for a pre-season game. Contact members on this board, or stub hub, or ticketmaster.... Either way, if y'all make it in town for a game, y'all are more than welcome to come join BLUE CREW In the Platinum Lot for tailgaiting....!!

How many do you need? Keep checking this board, under tickets, or go to HoustonTexans.com and see what you can find there.

I ditto Bill's invite to visit the Blue Crew! Family oriented, lots of good food, friends, and football talk. Easy to find also. If you decide to come we will give you directions. GOOD luck with your ticket hunt and keep in touch. We'll help ya any way we can!!

Don't get suckered by the scalpers that frequent the sale forum. There are plenty of tickets for well below face value for the pre-season contests.

If you buy them from a private party they should have the ability to forward you the ticket by e-mail.

And this year it's free so you shouldn't have to pay any 'handling' fees.
