On Saturday, August 18th at 7:00pm the Texans will take on the 49ers at home in NRG Stadium.
The game will be aired on television on ABC 13 and radio on Sports Radio 610.
Hopefully we can see more of Watson in this one. At least 2 or 3 series. It would also be good to see him with Hopkins and Fuller playing. We need to see what our offense will look like this year.
Against the Chiefs, some rookies really looked good. The rookie tight end, Akins, looked very solid. The offensive line looked pretty good in this first outing in both the passing and running game. They were opening up running lanes and didn't give up any sacks. Could improve though.
    Ejiofor looked great on defense.
Hopefully we can see more of them.
Both Weeden and Webb looked good as back ups. Very solid game from both.
Hope to see more advancement from them both.
There were some problems however. The secondary still needs work.
Virgin may very well be on his way out if he puts up a similar performance in this game as the last. He had better improve his game allot.
    Well on with the discussion.
    Go Texans!

According to O'Brien, Wednesday and Thursday will be the joint practices with the 49ers. Joint practices always seem to bring out extra competitiveness in the Texans and really sharpen their skills. They always seem to play better after joint practices. These things are great in getting the team ready for the season.
Hopefully, no one gets hurt during the practices and in the game. Let's get ready for a good game.

Is this the week J.J. gets some snaps? I think he would like to get them at NRG in front of the fans, rather than wait until next week in LA.

Six 49ers went down with injuries in their 1st preseason game..............4 of who were starters. RB Matt Breida and TE George Kittle both sustained separated shoulders. Olineman Garry Gilliam and Dlineman Solomon Thomas are both in the concussion protocol. OLB Eli Harold suffered a knee contusion. ILB Malcolm Smith sustained a hamstring tear. I'd be surprised if any will be playing against the Texans.

Really wanted to see our OL get some reps against Solomon Thomas this week. He would have been a good test.

I read that Jullian Taylor and DJ Reed looked good for the 49ers. Both rookies that I wanted for the Texans... will be watching how they do against the Texans this week.

They must have been up against a team that was playing to injure. If their #1 QB gets a lot of playing time, they could give us some trouble. But, chances are, they continue to be a bad team. Texans 31, Niners 21.

    Game 2 depth chart.

EDIT: Notice Josh Thornton has been moved up the depth chart and is positioned opposite Dee Virgin.

With Ervin coming off of patellar tendon rupture, I don't expect for him to be anymore effective in the return game than what we've seen last Thursday.

I've discovered why Swanson is still buried on the depth chart. This happened on day 3, per John Harris:

Can't wait until they show the game again because I won't be able to catch it out here in no man's land. I tried last week but the signal here in the desert is horrible.

Lamm and Slade need big games and if Roderick Johnson does not have huge game get rid of him and allow others to get snaps.

Unfortunately, that didn't look anymore effective than before the injury.

Or the previous 2 years either. At least he's been consistently bad his whole career regardless of health status.
