Good read but it's the same old same old. You either love Clowney and the possibilities or you don't. If I'm taking a guy #1 that has warts, as do all the perspective #1's right now, I'm taking this guy. I know others disagree but it is what it is.

I met a guy once who played against L.T. and he told me Taylor was relentless, never let up on a single play, but so would Clowney if he was high on Coke on Sunday afternoons.

Peter King is media. Bill Polian has little bit of experience in the NFL and he says Clowney is the clear #1. Next hurdles are the psychological tests results and field drills at his pro day. But on his tape, Clowney is the #1.

Mike Zimmer, Vikings HC and 14 year defensive coordinator told Sanders, "You guys [on NFL Network] talk about Clowney if you want to... just leave him on the board when I'm picking."

Bill Polian's most NFL ready prospects

Doesn't he seem like a possible Mario Williams to anyone else? Athletic specimen, half a motor?

I don't care, if he produces like Mario.

It would be an issue if I had to choose between Clowney, or Watt. But we're talking about adding Clowney to Watt.

To me he's Jevon Kearse without the motor.

I still think Mario was a decent #1 selection.

If he hadn't been so banged up we would of gotten more out of him. The injury issue is one of the big concerns with :clown:ey.

Can you imagine if we had Mario with year 2+ Watt?

Mario Williams was frustrating to watch, because you always knew, he could be so much better and should be dominating. Sure, he would look good next to Watt, who wouldn`t. And yes, I also still believe he was the right pick back then.

But I wouldn`t want to take Clowney if he turns into Mario Williams. And I am not even sure, he will ever be as good as Mario. We have absolutely no QB, our RT sucks and we are missing an OLB, that can get to the QB. If we are not in love with any of the QBs, trade down. You can pick up Mack, Robinson or Matthews with the 5th pick easily, probably you get one of them with the 8th.

Clowney just has too many question marks.

Do you see anyone in this draft special enough to trade up for?

I don't. I can't imagine anyone getting in love with any player in this draft. None worth giving up an extra 1st round pick anyway. We don't need 1 team to fall in love with any one player. We need 2 teams to fall in love with the same player.

    Clowney.

    Robinson maybe.

Depends on what price we put on the pick.

The future is just that way, you know, it's kinda uncertain.
But like Mayoc said the Texans are looking for a QB in this Draft to "fall in love with", and if they don't they are left with the decision to still draft a QB with their 1.1 who they "kinda like", or use the pick on a position player like Clowney or maybe Greg Robinson, Auburn OT.
