Ok my fellow texans fans, this is my first post, so please bare with me... we (as texans fans) have suffered for far too long.. i dont live in houston anymore, but every sunday morning i drag my butt to the bar with NFL network to watch my texans lose time in, and time out. But, i truly think everything is starting to turn around. Finally, we have hired legit NFL coaches to create and implement REASONALBE offensive/defensive schemes. After the 2nd season, I knew that our coaching staff was not going to work out... im not trying to act like im super NFL savy or anything of that nature, but capers was junk. His whole 3-4 D was just a horrific idea from the get-go. After further a-do, my outlook on our 2006-2007 season. I believe our team is going to finish up with either one of two records, either 6-10, or 10-6. We have the ability to turn things around right away, but its just a matter of closing things out. We have lost so many 4th quarter leads in our franchise history, and this has to stop. I think it was due to a lack of qb pressure, and i think my fav. texan would agree with that (D.Rob). If we can hold our leads in the 4th quarter, we can go 10-6 and maybe 11-5.... but if not, we will finish up with a 6-10 record. Our defense if going to be sick, we have depth, and a very talented, young secondary. Drob finally has a d-line to pressure the qb, in turn making him into a true "shut down" corner. Kubes has to work with carr all summer/preseason to give him confidence, i have seen carr far too many times "anticipating" the sack, in turn throwing the ball out of bounds or running out of bounds. This could be a big year for us, a year of respectability so to say. The only big concern i have, is d. davis. I love the guy, he's awesome, but he simply cannot play a full season. We have to give him more plays off, stop giving him 50-70 receptions a year, and that will surely enhance his durability. This losing environment was abolished the day we hired Kubes, so lets bring a superbowl to h-town.... cause we all know our other teams are in pretty bad situations as well!!!:hides:

Good post, with good points. I agree with alot of your assesments. DD will be better with Lundy, and Morency sharing the load. D-rob will return to 2004 form with a better pass rush, and we can have a winning record if our guys buy into Kubiaks product.

    Welcome.

Welcome to our funny pages, man. :howdy: Stick around & try the dip!

We definitely have many positive things to look forward to next season. Hopefully, a new era is dawning in Texansland, and Coach Kubiak is beginning a very long and successful head coaching career.

The anticipation is killin' me!! :francis:

I like having a short yardage back in Antoine Smith. He avg 4.0 and imo has the build to pick up a first or td @ goal. I realize stats show DD did well, I just think it wears him down. Team wide , I'm very optimistic. I'm a little shaky on the Oline even with the 3rd rounders. Same old zone blocking that didn't do well last year. In fact, I think it was implemented end of 2004.
