N.D. is so happy to be back with the Texans, he gets into a group hug with Mario & Broncos QB Jay Cutler.

    Ooohh that doesn't look right.

I think we might be done re-signing our guys from last year. We've got Andre Davis, Mark Bruener, ND Kalu, Will Demps, and Matt Turk

I think we're done in that department.

It's heart warming to this Texans fan to see all of these players wanting to stay with the team.
The expansion tag is dead and buried.

This makes me happy! I've become rather fond of ND. He is one of the good guys - a great veteran who helps/mentors the rookies, a very good backup who can still get to the QB from time to time. I'm glad for his sake and for the Texans that he gets to stay here one more year.

but yeah, i'm very glad to see kalu back for another year. solid pass rusher.

Solid and unspectacular signings with an emphasis on retention and versatility.

There is a definite method in the FO's madness.

it's obviously a good thing to re-sign kalu because we're lacking depth, experience, and production at the defensive end position. kalu's the only player on the roster who can provide all three and we're not going to get anything remotely close in the free agent market. good, cheap, qualitiy signing.

though i'm worried about how excited our players are to play against denver. when kubiak said give it your all, i dont think that's what he meant.

I fully expect that in a year or two, when they think we're just a player or two away from a Superbowl (not just playoff run), there will be a spectacular player or two added. Not, however, until they believe every position has a solid player and solid depth. I think we're two drafts away from that to be honest.

    Solid playoff run in 2009
    SuperBowl 2011 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like signing Kalu. To me he does everything we want in a veteran DE. He lets the team know when we are slacking, and he plays tough every play every week.

I love having ND "Karate Man" Kalu back. He and Mario can do some damage.

Just said (610am interview) he received interest from the Giants but told his agent he would only consider other teams if a deal couldn't be worked out with the Texans even if it was for less than market value.
