Rob Turner: J.J. Watt is 'full of it' for criticizing me

J.J. Watt isn't happy with Rob Turner. Rob Turner isn't happy with J.J. Watt.

That's right folks, interior of the trenches heat!

It started Sunday, when Turner, the Tennessee Titans' veteran center, was penalized -- and later fined -- for a peel-back block on Watt, the Houston Texans' star defensive tackle. The block was legal last year, but now isn't according to the NFL's updated rule book.

Watt criticized Turner after the game, calling his actions "absolutely" dirty. This characterization rubbed Turner the wrong way.

"Some people have asked if I am a dirty player. I don't think I am a dirty player, I am a hard-nose guy and that gets misconstrued sometimes," Turner said, via The Tennessean. "I know J.J. was saying all sorts of stuff to the media down there about him (telling me he has) a family to feed and stuff like that, but all that wasn't true and he's full of it for saying it. That was a lie about him talking to me."

Watt said he spoke to Turner about his actions on the field. Turner doesn't recall getting much reaction at all from Watt.

"Whether you call it an apology or whether you call it a professional courtesy, I was trying to say, "Hey I wasn't going after you like that, and you can see that on film," Turner said. "And it bothered me he made a big stink about it. For the record, he wouldn't even look at me, and I don't have a problem if you put that in print. In fact, I'd encourage you to put that in print and he's full of it by saying that."

The Texans and Titans meet again Dec. 29. We're sure the two men will pick up their conversation then.

Titans are not even contenders. Simply put, Texans are better than the Titans. The texans came into this season focusing on taking one game at a time but the reality is the Tennessee Titans are irrelevant come January and February. F 'em!
 
There will always be bad blood between the Titans and the Texans. It doesn't matter if it's AJ and whats-his-name or now Watt and Turner. These two teams just don't like each other. I'm looking forward to the last game and the bench clearing brawl.
 
Dude got called for like 5 holding calls in the game & this is what he wants to talk about? If i were him i'd be worried about my job. Titans fans don't seem to like him & its just a matter of time before he gets exposed by other teams.
 
I hope OL's(in this case, an LOL) keep calling Watt JAG. Nothing will fire him up more.
 
JJ, just tell Turner you've eaten burritos bigger than he is and then on to the Ravens (sans Ray Rice?)

Hey, think of it this way. The Texans-Titans rivalry could one day be as bitter as some of the other storied rivalries in the NFL. I look forward to Texans vs. Titans games 15-20 years from now (sorry, ya old folks :fingergun:).
