I saw the guy play last year and he is not an upgrade over anyone on the team. He only played because the Pats had like 4 safties on IR last year.

just someone to play the role of Marcus Coleman in the preseason.

But if three rings make Tom Brady better than Peyton Manning, then he is better than Ed Reed.

A back up S from NE? ... WITH the initials MS? ... sounds freaky familiar ...

Seems like we already have too many SS and not enough FS.

At least he has interesting hair.

There is a theory out there that good teams need a crazy hair guy.

I think they must be considering C.C. Brown as a FS, and this guy could be the back-up for both (as said in the above mentioned ESPN article).:twocents:

Hey now! Let's not mention hair this season. Seriously, we should have a great SPECIAL TEAMS if nothing else. Almost every f/agent pick-up is good at that.

    this is wonderful news....

a safety from one of the best teams in the NFL (patriots)

    2005 SEASON STATISTICS
Tot Ast Solo FF Sack Int
    32 27 5 0 0 0

should come in as a competitor for the starting S role...

if not stick him in the nickle

    our secondary should look like

    CB- Drob, PBuch (unfortuantly)
    SS- Earl
FS- Jammal Lord (not joking) if he bust tho stick CC in there
    Nickle- stone, faggings

"Always a solid special teams player, Stone ..."

This guy and Walters are both expected to come in and anchor special teams. They are planning on scoring a few points on special teams this year. And who can blame them. They have what will probably be the two most explosive return men in the game. It's obvious to me what they are doing.

Signed as street FA. Only started after starters and backups went down. Not exactly Ed Reed, but we can use the help.
