San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman dropped his appeal of his four-game suspension imposed by the league for a positive test under the NFL's steroid-testing program.

Merriman, who's tied for the NFL lead with 8 1/2 sacks, is scheduled to begin serving his suspension immediately and will miss the Chargers' next four games, beginning Sunday against the Cleveland Browns

Do the Chargers have a bye coming up?? Is that why he decided he'll start serving his suspension now??

More like Management or someone said: "you can appeal and drag it out and still lose and then you miss the last games of the season and/or maybe a playoff game, or just drop it, serve your time and be back in plenty of time for the post season.:twocents:

It doesn't matter. He is a cheater now.

I am glad the Cowboys got DeMarcus Ware instead of this guy.

I dont care how good he is, I wouldnt want a cheater on my team.

It was a matter of playing the Browns or the Broncos. He chose the horses
