A Houston man who fell to his death last month at Reliant Stadium was intoxicated at the time he fell from an escalator, according to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Jonathan Kelly, 25, was allegedly trying to slide down the outside of an escalator handrail near the northeast side of the stadium about 8:10 p.m. Aug. 30 when he fell about 60 feet, landing on the pavement.
An autopsy determined that Kelly's blood-alcohol content was 0.16 at the time of his death, the Institute of Forensic Sciences said Tuesday. That amount is twice the legal limit for driving.
