In related news, tarp manufacturers in Jacksonville Florida have given notice they may be forced to declare bankruptcy in the near future.

Not if none of them is in the 2nd largest tv market in the country.

If Los Angeles was already taken by an NFL team, then yes, but since that has yet to happen...I wouldn't mind too much if a 4th team were to move in. If it was up to me, the Raiders would be sold to one of the two group of investors who are planning to build an LA stadium. But since Al will never sell the team, that isn't likely to happen. I think within the next 3 years we will see a team in LA, maybe even in 2 if this CBA can be taken care of.

The most likely candidate to move IMO is ,unfortunately, the Chargers. They have a pretty good team yet they are still having problems selling out games. Following them I would say that its pretty obvious the Jags are a likely candidate. I've been following the LA stadium by Roski closely, and teams such as the Bills, Rams, & Vikings have been brought up. I doubt the Bills will move, and the new Rams owner seems dedicated to St. Louis, and I think Vikings will eventually get their new stadium deal.

All this stuff about Magic attempting to bring a team back to Los Angeles is overblown. At most the guy will have a minority share in whichever stadium group convinces a NFL team to move to LA. If the Raiders don't move to LA, I'm hoping the team that does is in the NFC, preferably the NFC West, so that a strong rivalry could form with the other Cali NFC team (49ers) similar to the rivalry between Oakland-SD.

I think at this point in time, the chargers have to be considered the favorite to move.

Don't ever want to see a team in LA. They've had what two or three chances at NFL teams and lost them every time.

The big tv networks and the media already have a big enough problem where they don't cover teams in small markets or teams that aren't a top team in the league. An LA team would constantly get tons of coverage and after the problems I've seen in the NBA where the commisioner goes out of his way to see big market teams at the top I don't want to see an LA team in the NFL.

what they said on PTI one thing is pretty much certain, state of California won't and can't help with the stadium so it will have to come out of investors..

(pretty much a given on how broke the state of California is)

The Los Angeles Football Stadium is being privately funded, and I'm 99.9% sure the other stadium that would be built in downtown LA if they got an NFL team would be privately funded as well.

I sincerely hope they restructure the divisions if they do move Jax to LA.

It would be a good opportunity to make things more geographically fair.

1)move Kansas City to the AFC South of Htown, Indy, and Tennessee
    2) place new LA franchise in AFC west with SD, Oak, and Denver.

This way all the teams are closer to each other breeding better rivalries.

If they move a team to LA, then we instantly get the West Coast Jets...

Hopefully it will be Jacksonville, because they suck enough that they might not get the same media hype as the Jets.

I'd say Oakland. They are dead last in home attendance averaging 43,000 per home game. San Diego, while ranked a dismal 27th, still averages 62,400 per home game.

As an aside, Jacksonville ranks 25th with an average of 63,400.

And I want Magic to learn to speak the Queen's English. Vugg it, he should buy the Cowboys from Jerrah so they can be the L.A. Cowboys.

In other news, LA citizens still couldn't care less about the NFL.

I wonder if he'd want to change their name to the "Los Angelas Magic"? Not sure that works for an NFL team.

The two groups who are trying to attract a NFL team to LA want at least a 30% share in the team, no way in hell Al Davis would even give up 1% of his team for a stadium which would force him to stay in LA.

There are still quite a few Raider fans in LA, but perhaps even more who hate Al Davis for leaving. Until Al "moves on", I don't expect the Raiders to be welcomed with open arms in LA.
