it's an opinion, hardly factual. colts are generally perceived to be far less assholish than the patriots, because the patriots are this decade's cowboys and they rub people the wrong way for various reasons, but the colts are farily innocent in that respect. everyone loves Dungy and Manning (except for bitter Texans fans, naturally), etc

Actually I'm completely have different ideas on this thing. I used to like the Pats. As I always explain on here I spent my first 23 years on earth in Ft. Worth so from mid-to late 70s on I've been a massive Dallas fan. I still respected the Pats SBs, even though I didn't exactly cheer for them. I always hated Manning. Not even as a transplanted in 93 and new Texans fan. I just thought the guy was a douchebag and a whiner. Nothing against you kast but he reminded me of Marino, whiny and yelling at his receivers for his own mistakes, yet an incredible QB. He couldn't win. I reveled in this. Starting in last years playoffs I saw a little more of Coach Hoody's thing as they beat SD with no class. I liked Manning on SNL. The season starts and now we have the Pats peeved that they got caught and running up the score. They are punks. I think it is a bush league move too because they are a team well respected and known for class. Now, not so much. Hoodys work will land Brady on the IR if he isn't careful. I'll put something I wrote before and it references the Karate Kid....Belicik will order the "sweep the leg" against some scrub team again and some DLinemen with no conscious(say a Haynesworth) is going to pull a crane and knock Bradys block off. I don't condone it and think it is trash but that is where NE is heading.

I hated Manning way before the Texans became a gleam in Bob McNairs eyes!

I will agree with you on people's overall perceptions of the two teams (whether its right or wrong, its perception)...

    I <3 the TMQ.

That was obviously satire. Come on now; there are more important things in life to worry about than what Gregg Easterbrook writes for entertainment.

    I saw that article yesterday.

It's not something that would bother me in the slightest, but the name "Easterbrook" rung a bell so I looked him up. Turns out he was fired for a controversial article and accusations of anti-Semitism.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregg_Easterbrook

(Note: I know Wikipedia is a less than stellar "source," but you can confirm details at about 30 other sites.)

Also noteworthy that Pats owner Bob Kraft is Jewish and has donated a ton of money to charities in Israel, including funding to build an American football stadium in their country.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist or anything, but I don't think Easterbrook is the right person to be judging good and evil anyway.

What I understand about the situation with the Patriots is this: Easterbrook is concerned that their cheating undermines the league and it will ruin the popularity of the sport. That's not good for anyone not wearing skates, ball gloves or high-tops.

Manning...he who audibles to a long pass when four scores ahead with less than 4 minutes on the clock. He should get a * by his record consdering 11 of those were against the lowly Texans!

After 35-3, though, I do not think it is possible to run up the score. So I don't hold it against Manning for doing what he does, and I don't blame the Patriots for scoring as much as they can.

These are the pros, and if people get their feelings hurt, too freakin' bad. This ain't a kum-by-ya marshmellow roast where we have a group hug at the end!
