Well it's expected that the owners vote to ratify the new CBA at the owner's meeting on Thursday. So I'd say Friday at 12:01 AM, maybe a few hours earlier.

Funny how that works ain't it?

Not so sure this qualifies as a prediction but the heads have been saying since late last week that the owners would ratify the new CBA at their meeting in ATL. Didn't really say if it would be before, during or after lunch though.

Another thing I caught on NFLN is the NFLPA* members of the lawsuite are being contacted on settling that so when the owners say OK, then that'll be outta the way. Doty still has to sign off on it as well.

All that said, the owners OKing the CBA will just be the first step. I've been hearing differing time lines on when players will actually be allowed back in the facilities.

Dunno where he's getting his info, but the owners aren't even voting on the CBA until Thursday. There's still some things on the table that need to be ironed out. The players must vote it in by at least 50% +1. They've said the lockout will not end until all is done.

The best case scenerio would be, the owners DO actually vote and ratify the CBA Thursday. Teams will be allowed 3 days to re-sign their own FA. The actual league year and free agent signings will begin Monday the 25th.

That was the best case. It depends on the $ the players are now asking for to cover last year's uncapped season. Things could get screwed up fast. Unless Boylan can keep things held together.

I think this Friday will be the day the announcement is made. For James Harrison? Not so much.
