Well at least the Godfather is not in their plans. He would have been installed already.
I agree, though where Cak wanted Jacobs at 23 I wanted Marquise Brown. I know we are stacked on talent at the WR spot but they can’t stay healthy and I wouldn’t trust BoB to know what to do with a first round RB considering he keeps thinking Miller can be a power RB. Brown would have given us some insurance if/when one of our other WRs went down.
I fully agree we could have gotten Howard by trading up to early second. Cards didn’t seem to have a guy they were in love with at 33 so I think a deal could have been struck.
Brown himself has a history of serious lower leg injuries. Jacobs would've been fine with me.
Over/under Miller v Jacobs this season?
ewwwww! now that's just all kinds of weird.
I think running Miller up the middle had more to do with the oline than what kind of back BOB thought Miller was.
Typical TK though
Man that's a good one; so much we do not know can impact it for me especially concerning Miller. Healthy OLine with better play plus using Miller to his skill set could be crunching. As long as our top 3 WRs remain productive I see a 70-30 ish passing attack over run. Jacobs is extremely intriguing but as a receiving back, I've not seen enough. If Miller used a lot more as a target for Watson I probably go with him over all stats. If you are referring to rushing stats alone I go with Jacobs. However with a bit of tossing thoughts around I could easily change that.
I agree we likely could have gotten better value at our draft positions. However, how do you know that Gaine didn't know that some other teams had Titus Howard high on their board. No one could foresee the Eagles jumping up to take Dillard - unless you consulted Miss Cleo.
Nobody knows anything, if you want Dillard be aggressive and go get him. Before the draft you say if this guy falls to pick X I'm going to trade up and get him. Gaine didn't choose to operate this way and is now looking for a job. Or maybe Howard was the guy he wanted all along.
Cleo? No.. Philly's starting LT Jason Peters by game one will be staring at 38 yoa in his 13th season and on a one year extension. He was good with 69.5 rating but perfect timing to get Dillard. Of course other teams could have had Howard but as I posted most non Texans talk members had Greg Little higher than Howard. Taking him #23 as better option (of course it appear Texans liked H better) allows you to get a better than Lonnie Johnson corner and still get Scharping even if second round.
We were all thinking it.
nah, that takes a 'special' kind of mind
You know exactly what OB would do with a 1st round RB: up the middle for 2 yards. Every. Single. First Down.
Now, now, we have a shiny, new offensive coordinator. Perhaps those days are behind us.
(hope springs eternal)
Who as far as we know is a potted plant.
You going on the positivity tour?
Obviously not a guy on the positivity tour.
This surprises you?
Bring someone in known for a philosophy, any philosophy, and I'll do cartwheels. This is window dressing.
