    4 of the past 5 DROY awards have gone to MLBs. What is this guy smoking?

    I think his point should've been more that players are blurring the traditional definitions of positions now and less that this one position has changed.

    THis is about tghe dumbest article I've seen all year. LB's are still as big time of players as they've ever been.

    Did this guy miss Ray Lewis's leadership when he led the Ravens to an all defensive team SB?

    Has he not followed Derrick Brooks for the last 12 years?

    Did he not notice anything that Urlacher did for the Bears for like a 5 year stretch?

    Has he not paid any attention to Harrison on the Steelers who just got Defensive player of the year?

    Yeah, LB's have came and went all right. We don't have the toothless Lamberts any more and the Dick Butkis types of guys. We only have guys now days that get shot and then return the field within a few weeks in Joey Porter. We only have guys like Porter who take their aggression on certain players from the field onto the street like Porter did. LB's right now are just as crazy and impactful as they have ever been.
