    I think Cushing has been a good LB at USC and should be a good pro. But to suggest that a guy who has all of 8.5 sacks in 4 years projects as a rush end, and worthy of a mid 1st round pick, is a really big reach.

    That a player such as Cushing is even considered as a 1st round selection indicates how weak this draft is. Not to bash Cushing, who reminds me of the Eagles MLB Stewart Bradley. He'd be a good pickup in the 2nd round, but the Texans need to catch some luck and hope an impact defender falls to #15.

    um who was a reach? you're not referring to Brown are you? Surely you're not. Maybe Slaton?

    Brown was a reach. Trade back or not, he isn't, nor was he, a first round talent.

    But that is beside the point of this thread. Carry on.
