I loved him before he was hired, and I'll admit after a few weeks that I was very down on him. Especially after the loss to the Redskins. But after the last few weeks, and after reading and watching his relationship with Carr develop, I'll be the first to admit that this guy has what it takes. Kubiak is a dedicated coach. VERY dedicated. He has problems with Carr, with the rest of the team, but he knows how to fix them and is working tirelessly to do just that. If you don't know what I'm talking about, read the post with Megan's article regarding his feet. Kubiak sees the problems, and knows exactly how to fix them. Do I think he is flawless? No. Could he have won more games by starting Sage in game 1? Maybe... Is he too conservative at times? Maybe. But the point is, he is in it for the long haul. He sees potential, he sees problems, and he works to FIX the problems. Capers would get around them, but I really feel Kubiak is trying to fix them. Its an optimistic time to be a Texans fan. For the first time ever, I'm actually not dreading the thought of the following statement, "Just wait until 2007" because I think it'll actually mean something.
