With the line drawn in the sand with guys having to restructure their contracts and a possibility of players like Payne not being here what do you all think about this. We sign Kerney at DE move Weaver inside and try and get the CB from Buffalo or Thomas from the Ravens. It could sure up the d-line and help Ryans or DRob. It might open up the draft and give them a little room and focus on the offense either at running back or Oline in the first come back in the second and get a safety or something just throwing it out there go ahead and debate.

kerney is looking to get PAID. i agree with zeirlein's assertion that we will look for a pass rushing specialist later in the first day of the draft or ealr in the second. i'd say we have little to no interest in pat kerney.

DE Jared Allen out of KC is a better option. The guy put up 27.5 sacks in 3 years and would be the pressuring DE we so badly need! He won't be as expensive as Kerney, so the Texans have a reasonable chance at signing him.

I'm still not in favor of moving Weaver inside to DT. He is too small (280 lbs.), and I don't think he could withstand the beating for a whole year. Heck, he's coming off "rotator cuff" surgery already and he only played DT on the passing downs. I just don't think he would last too long as a DT. JMHO!

Kerney is looking to get paid and would break the bank and your thoughts of him and Thomas/Clements are pure pipe dreams.

Is Jared Allen a RFA??? For some reason I thought he was.

Here is todays article. I like him some will shy away with his second DUI arrest and jailtime...so we might now know if a suspension is heading his way.

I would not want to give up a 1st and a 3rd for Allen or anybody for that matter and if Cheifs are going drive up the price that way you can forget him going anywhere.

Agreed, looks like the Chiefs are serious about keeping him.

Yeah, scratch the idea about Allen, I thought he was an UFA. KC seems set on making things work with him.
