Why do you think Ginn will go to Minnesota? I do not think he will go that high myself, but interested to hear your logic behind the Norsemen taking him.

I don't think Houston passes on Russell, even with Peterson there.

I assume the Adams pick means Kerney is leaving.

I still think Ginn to Minn is too much Troy Williamson deja vu. I also think Minnesota would short circuit the Tarvaris experiment immediately if Russell were available, although they did give up two 3rds to get him.

they need serious help at WR. troy williamson hasn't been cutting it, but aside from him, you have Travis Taylor and Billy McMullen. ginn is certainly a top 10 pick at this point. i think most scouts agree on that.

I don't like Ginn as a prospect, he has a world of speed, but his route running needs work. I think he's going to be the 3rd receiver taken.

not really. ridiculous potential, very young, extremely dominant in the Senior Bowl, and Gruden is already speaking like he has a mancrush on him. exactly like he did with Cadilliac Williams.
russell isn't this amazing can't-miss prospect that minnesota or houston would HAVE to take. especially minnesota, who's already invested plenty into Jackson. they're not giving up on him yet. especially for russell, who doesn't fit childress' offense at all. quinn? maybe....maybe.

your top 20 looks solid (I thought I had Amobi rated high @ #6)

both Pittcock & Tyler fall to 2nd

Dwayne Jarrett should be higher at least #19 to Chow/VY @ Tennessee

New England have their pick of CB's here why not take the highest rated and then take Robert Meachem, WR, Tennessee w/28th pick?

why is Revis still on the board this low in the draft?

    27. New Orleans - Chris Houston, CB, Arkansas good pick

    28. New England - Marcus McCauley, CB, Fresno State very unimpressed with him, could become a FS instead of cb. where I like Brandon Meriweather better.

    29. Baltimore - Joe Staley, T, Central Michigan good pick

    30. San Diego - Sidney Rice, WR, South Carolian good pick

    31. Chicago - Zach Miller, TE, Arizona State good pick

Daymeion Hughes, CB, Cal should be long gone

well if routes are his only problem, then that's no reason at all why he should drop in the draft. very raw, a coach's son, probably the fastest football player in the world, homerun threat everytime he touches the ball on special teams, etc.
it definitely makes sense. jarrett also seems like a big possibility. but they really want ginn, because they need speed. too bad ginn will be long gone by then. maybe they can look at higgins in the 2nd instead.

pittcock and tyler are certainly both first rounders. tyler is the only true NT in this draft rated near the first round, and that'll be huge in his favor.

yeah, i think we see with matt leinart that norm chow's effect on the draft isn't really that much. if they think bowe is a better receiver, why take jarrett?

meachem is really good. and they know they can get mccauley later. mccauley is almost a guarantee to go to the jets or patriots due to the pat hill ties.

revis is there because that's the way it sometimes is.

hughes is almost a 2nd rounder now. he's a zone guy, period. he needs to be in a Cover 2 to succeed. that's why the colts will take him. or bears. or bucs early in the 2nd.

Okay, I want to fire away here.

JaMarrcus Russel at #9? Are you hoping Miami gets him after you called him a bust? He won't get past Cleveland at #3 and definately not by Tampa Bay at #4, who you have them taking Okeye which leaves me scrathing my head.

Ginn to Minnesota? I agree with you when you make the statement that Minnesota needs a WR, but, can you call Ginn a WR right now? I mean, he has tremendous potential, but they need a serious answer at WR and Ginn is not a solid WR. A playmaker? Definatley. A WR? We will have to wait and see. After the Troy Williamson experiment, I doubt they would take a shot on Ginn Jr., but you never know.

Dwayne Bowe over Dwayne Jarret? Maybe so, but I thought that was a little superising, along with the first CB to be picked as late as 20.

A few guys I thought went supringly high besides Okeye were Posluszny, Pittcock, Meachem, Beason, Houston, Staley, and McCauley who I have heard is dropping fast and has been very disappointing this week at the Senior Bowl.

Overall, I though you put together a very decent Mock Draft.

i'm not a russell fan at all. i'm sure cleveland would take quinn for the simple fact that there's a connection there between weiss and crennell. plus, quinn's a better prospect. i don't think randy mueller (miami's GM) would pass on russell if he is there; he's spoken in the past that he loves drafting QB's, and actually favors drafting a QB every year.

bowe is a better prospect than jarrett, PLUS he's been the best offensive player at the senior bowl, easily. not much of a surprise, and i don't get why people are so perplexed by jarrett's draft position.

People are making too much of the Chow-Jarrett connection. If they wanted Jarrett, they'd be better off re-signing Bennett. They're both relatively slow, tall receivers that aren't very physical and elevate well. Bowe's the better fit and a nice prospect in his own right, offering more speed than Jarrett and more bulk than anybody.

Stop referring to yourself as an expert. You are the same as all of us. Plus you have JaMarcus Russel going at #9, you couldn't be more wrong.

You may know more but you aren't an expert. JaMarcus Russel will go before the 5th pick. Want to bet on it?

he is as much of an expert as we have here, so i'll take at least a little credence into it. why dont you put your opinion out there before ragging something else. you sound like that andre guy who also always rips zierlein's draft coverage yet doesnt put ANYTHING of substance out there to counter it. guys like aaron rodgers and warren sapp fell when people didnt think they would.

Just because someone thinks they are an expert doesn't make them one. Experts get paid for what they do. Unless he can prove that he writes for a major magazine/website/sports station he is not an expert. He is merely a fan who knows a lot about the draft.
