As I said in the NFL thread, how are these athletes so bag of hammers dumb?

Bold move by KC. Maybe that gets these guys thinking a little bit. Doubt it, but maybe.

May have been some behavior altering substances involved.

Turn out the lights the party's over! Just ask Ray Rice after his video. Hunts young so maybe someone will take a chance on him, but the flak that team will get will be huge. Washington is really taking heat for Foster right now. I doubt others will want to join them.

I just watched the video and listened to both sides of the story. He's clearly an idiot for forcefully touching any woman like that, but "brutalize" is the wrong description. He didn't beat her, the kick wasn't even a real strike, but his actions could be classified as assault.

Also worth noting is that the league claims it requested the video from the hotel, but were denied on the basis that only law enforcement was privileged to such evidence. This could qualify as the league's plausible deniability, but you have to wonder if the league should be expected to pony up whatever cash TMZ threw at the hotel to obtain the tape.

I agree it was not nearly as severe as I was afraid it would be but still an over the top reaction. Short of a woman threatening me or my family with a weapon I don’t see how someone can snap like hunt did. This wasn’t a Ray Rice or joe mixon type of assault but still wrong and way out of line. And unlike ray rice, hunt is young and is still a good play and he’ll get picked up by another team just like joe mixon was.

In the age of #Metoo I suspect a cross ways stare at this young "lady" would have cost Hunt his job with the Chiefs.

Girl had her hands down and he made first contact, then second contact, then his guy stole her friend's phone, his anger shoved the group resulting in (main girl) face first into a wall - she wobbles and sits down, and he kicks her.

I actually wanted to deescalate my opinion after a quick glance and reading opinions, because there wasn't any over the top ("brutalized" - media sensationalism) violence. Nah, dude has every bit of punishment coming. The kick that's getting attention is IMO the second worst part of the video - she had her hands down, no physical threat and he felt the need to put his hands on her. NOPE.

She came at him and apparently called him the n-word and attacked his female friend. Now she’s the victim?

He’s definitely not innocent but unless there is other stuff in his background he deserves a second chance.

No. She's clearly walking towards him solo in the video, clearly has her hands down, and he clearly puts his hands on her first. Bad words and 'said' previous action don't matter because he nor anyone else was in danger from her. Same as she was a potentially concussed non-threat sitting on the ground as he kicked her. The hell is wrong with you?

She just as easily could have walked away...but she didn’t. And she called him the nword? Lol...I have little sympathy for anyone in that video. I just don’t believe Hunt should done. He deserves a second chance.

Not everyone shares your righteous indignation over this groupie.

I guess I don't need to follow this further, some folks are able to be themselves.

What I am curious about is the dude that took her friend's phone to run off and delete the video. I've got no idea about the law, but that can't be just a minor thing.

It appears that this is more about Hunt lying to them about what actually happened when the chiefs brass spoke to him about it back when it initially happened. The Chiefs organization must have not seen the video back then and they believed him when he told them not much happened.

Oh well, kid brought it on himself.
