It's almost a definite that he's going to be fired as the Carolina Panthers head coach after this season. I say if that happens the Texans HAVE to bring this guy in!

He has been a defensive backs coach since the 80's, and has always produced some solid secondaries over in Carolina. Even with the Panthers at 1-6, their pass defense rank is fifth in the league.

Kubiak has pissed me off lately, but I'm still not a pink soaper just yet. I'm just convinced that the defensive coordinator job for Frank Bush is just too big for him to handle. We absolutely cannot accept last place! If you're the worst at your job you should be fired. John Fox is the answer guys! He should be our defensive coordinator.

You're assuming that the only options Fox will have are as coordinators. I really think he'd be up for a head coaching job at the end of the season. And, believe me, there will be a few: Dallas, Minnesota, Cincinnatti...

I have been thinking for awhile that John Fox would be a good replacement for Kubiak, when and if he (Kubiak) gets the ax. It wouldn't be the worst the Texans could do. I just don't see them making a bold move, and hiring a high profile HC like Cowher etc.

I'm using IE for TTalk. Anyways, how many times has it happened that a coach of a failing team is in hot demand after he gets fired? Still, Fox is a good HC option IMO, should be a valuable addittion for anyone out there...

For D-coordinator, I'm all for Fox. If we part ways with Kubiak, Fox works for me as well. I'm torn on feelings towards Kubes, though. I think our offense has been great... when he hasn't gotten in the way of himself. Some of his playcalling is questionable to put it lightly. I think he should let the O-coordinator take full control for at least 1 game and see what happens.

Otherwise, Fox is probably one of my first choices. Runs the 4-3, does it damned well, and his offense at times has been very effective as well.

I'd bet my house he's Phillip's replacement in Dallas.

I'd consider him for DC if that's not the case, though.

Fox would be a great choice to replace Kubes. As long as he doesn't bring Davidson with him.

Fox has alot of playoff experience as well as a trip to the SB as a HC on his resume.

Kubes has what on his resume as a HC?

Don't the panthers allow at least 1 reception of over 40 yards a game? (Then again, so do the texans)

As long as those Mac users are not running the Mac OS X v10.2 operating system, otherwise known as Jaguar!

If they ran the Mac OS X v10.3, aka Panther, that would be a-ok in my book.

    Hmm, too geeky?

Well, there's no team called the Mavericks or Meerkats (Ubuntu 10.10)..... so I think we're good.

I'd be perfectly fine with Fox as a Head Coach for the Texans.

IDK, the last time we hired a former coach from the Panthers it didn't work out too well did it?

    :sarcasm:
