Saints bring on Harrington as third QB
a murderer's row of backup QB's behind Brees. pray for the best, Saints fans.
Now 2/3 of the Saints QB's have carved our defense up. I will never forget that game Brunell had against us and Harrington beat our butts last year.
Didn't Brunell break the consecutive completion record against us?
Yes he did and he was tied by the almighty David Carr in the same season or the season after IIRC.
'Cept Carr's was for negative yardage.
Pretty much. I don't remember too much about that game but I think the majority of his passes were screens.
Hmmm, I looked up the record for most consecutive passes completed and it has:
Oh, I get it now, McNabb and Montana completed their passes over a couple of games. N/M
Obviously he's third on the depth chart and he's infinitely more capable a backup than Tyler freaking Palko, so I don't mind the signing.
The only thing that worries me is Harrington's innate ability to become the starting quarterback wherever he goes. It's like he throws some sort of injury voodoo on the incumbent QB and takes over by default. Hopefully the voodoo already in place in N.O. will override or cancel this out.
