Didn't Taylor blow his knee out in like his second or third year?
No it was a groin muscle tear that cost him most of his 3rd year.
I was talking to my friend who is a jaqs fan and he said that he has never been the same since the injury.
Uhhh... no, Fred has still be as explosive as ever, as evidenced by his over 1,000 yards almost every season.
The Tennessean's Paul Kuharsky from his NFL Notebook:
Getting conflicting info from Captain Jack & his new OC? I think the Jags would be in a world of hurt if Taylor is out for any significant part of the season. Greg Jones, Toefield, & the rookie Pearman aren't going to scare anyone.
Now there goes the White Rooks season... :brickwall
Now Taylor could miss the whole season, fragile Fred has struck again and Jacksonvilllie will not be the competitor they were with him.
They just had our OC on Sirius and they say Fred Taylor is likely to miss the 05 season with an ACL that needs repair. It is not torn but severely stretched and he is not going to do anything until August. They say there is a very good chance he is done.
Key injuries can kill a season. I would think your team depends on more than one player. We had a very large number out for the 2nd season and we still did pretty well considering. An injury sometimes provides an opportunity for some one else to show their stuff.
